The Old School House

I loved the way it had been restored into a home . It was peaceful and in a quiet area . The beds were comfortable

We got directions from the booking website and it sent us to another school house . The lady living in that house was surprised to have us rock up in her driveway . We got the right Eircode and made it to the right property. So maybe having the Eircode on booking might avoid confusion . On the first day we noticed there was a lot of flies in the sitting room and a bad smell around the sofa . On further inspection we ended up having to wash the floor in the sitting room which was filthy and full of dog hairs . I have never had to clean a house we have just arrived in . There was also a bad smell from the mug and plate press . We just took out what we needed and washed them and left them on the table for our stay there instead of having to reopen the press . I have taken photos of the dirt removed from the sitting room just in case people thought I was joking .

Loved the garden, lovely place to sit out with a glass of wine. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of utensils. Rooms were big and hairdryers were much appreciated. Good WiFi and information booklet had lots of key information about the house and the area. A peaceful stay, will definitely be returning.

Lovely and spacious converted school house. Tidy and well presented. Nice large kitchen with vaulted ceiling and all the equipment you could need ie: fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine etc. The stove in the kitchen kept the room very warm and the oil heating was great for the rest ot the house. Fantastic veiw from the back of the house. Local shop in Moyne, and 5 mins drive away. Bigger stores (Centra, Costcutters) in Drumlish about 15 mins drive.
