Ocean Cascais - Apartment with Swimming Pool

Ideal for children. Pool was great. Really lovely welcome pack.

Decor was a little outdated

The property was in a quiet residential location, yet, within a short walk to restaurants, supermarkets and parks. If you don’t have small children, you could easily walk to the centre and central beaches too. We had a 5 year old with us, so we took Uber to the centre, which was unbelievably cheap compared to the UK. There is a bus stop outside too. The flat was very light, spacious and clean. There is an outdoor swimming pool, shared with a couple of other flats. This was the highlight of the trip for our son. The owner of the flat responded to our messages straight away, and was very helpful. He also left snacks, fruit, water and wine for our arrival, which was much appreciated.

Nothing really, suited us very well.

The apartment was very spacious. The neighbourhood was quiet. The pool was clean. The possibility to do our laundry in the flat. The host was very generous having a nice fruit plate, biscuit and two bottles of wine ready when we arrived.

The host did not communicate with us shortly ahead of our arrival: we have been used to receiving a WhatsApp or mail ahead just confirming that we are being expected. The building is rather old. The terrace was quite dusty. We had not realised that it was not a pool for our apartment only and were a little disappointed as it was very busy on the Saturday we arrived. We had been told there would be a magnificent view and were disappointed to see wasteland behind the garden and pool and could barely see the ocean.

Mooie grote,lichte woonruimte met een comfortabele zithoek, bedden en badkamer. De keuken is goed uitgerust om zelf iets te bereiden. Het zwembad geeft schoon en geeft heerlijk verkoeling. Het appartement is gelegen in een rustige omgeving met voldoende voorzieningen in de buurt om op loopafstand boodschappen te kunnen doen, te gaan uiteten, borrelen. De host geeft duidelijke instructies om het pand te betreden en geeft aanbevelingen voor de omgeving. Daarnaast was het een warm welkom met (gekoelde) dranken, snacks en fruit. Goede uitvalshoek om met de auto naar Sintra of Lissabon te gaan. Parkeren is gratis en voor de deur.
