La Marina House - Al Duomo

Bruno was great at communicating with things to do around the area. The apartment is by the fish market- it’s vibrant and full of places to eat etc. Bruno gave us instructions on where to get off and on the ALIB airport bus. The apartment was very well equipped. Comfortable bed and nice linen. Definitely best place to stay if you want to experience the ‘heart’ of Catania!

Nothing - it was great

Comfortable accommodation a stone throw from Piazza Duomo and La Pescheria. Shops, restaurants and places of interests are all at arm's length. Despite being on top of the movida, the apartment was very quiet.

The apartment is a little more cramped than it shows in the photos, especially if you need to open the sofa bed, but as a family of 3, we managed.

This is one of the best holiday apartments I've stayed in. The location is amazing - right in the center of Catania, on one of the streets decorated with umbrellas - but since the windows and balcony face the inner courtyard, the apartment is quiet. It was also easy to reach on foot from the airport bus stop. The apartment is very well equipped; we prepared breakfasts and did laundry, so it was important for us that plenty of cooking and cleaning utensils were available, including a washing machine. It was clean and comfortable, and the owner was very helpful, sending us detailed instructions and recommendations for sightseeing in Catania. The keys were handed to us by a lady who helps take care of the apartment, and she also collected the city tax. When leaving, it was enough just to leave the keys inside because the door locks itself. All in all, it was a great experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this apartment!

The location was 2 minute walk to the main plaza and cathedral.

The furniture in the bedroom needs updating. The bed head was wrapped in a cover but that didn’t hide the fact that the vinyl was peeling. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, especially around the shower. Some instructions in English would be a good inclusion, especially on how to use the washing machine. To use the stove you needed to turn a gas bottle on and off when finished. As I wasn’t confident doing this I didn’t use the stove at all.
