I would say it’s one of the best locations you can stay in Corfu. Barbati is really lovely. Because the beach is so wide, you don't really feel the crowds, and the sea is genuinely crystal clear. Plus, it's one of the economical places you can stay in this area.

The amenities were sufficient, but they’re starting to show some age—a little updating would be great. The biggest downside was the lack of mosquito nets. Opening the windows is so much better for families with kids since it gets cool at night, and avoiding the AC would actually save them money on electricity. Installing mosquito nets is a tiny expense that makes a huge difference. Also, the breakfast service needs work. The waitstaff look completely burnt out and make you feel unwelcome. The food itself is fine, but switching to a buffet might be better since the service is so off-putting.

Location was perfect. Beach was easily accessible even with a toddler, but you could also stay at the common pool. Staff were really helpful.

It just needed some overall maintenance and handywork

The location was a great base to explore Corfu from and the host was very responsive when there were issues. The bed was very comfortable and the free sun loungers at the adjoining Verde Blu beach club were lovely.

The studio we stayed in was sadly in need of a lot of maintenance, which did make things less comfortable. The sliding door to the terrace was very difficult to lock, and the bathroom door always struggled to close fully. There was mould and damp on some of the walls. The wifi was so slow that you couldn’t even do a simple Google search from your phone at times. We weren’t in the apartment much as we were mostly at the beach or exploring the island, but it wasn’t as comfortable as we expected when we were there. There was also a leak in the roof and under the sink while we were there, which were both thankfully repaired very quickly by Kelly and her team, and this avoided a room change, but it still added extra stress we didn’t need while on holiday and sadly affected our experience of staying here.
