Relaxation and Peace

It was in a great location, very short walking distance to the beach. The rooms are quite spacious (bigger than the pictures make it look), perfect for my partner, myself and our baby, and it’s nicely decorated. The staff were responsive when we contacted them about some issues and resolved them for us. They also arranged an airport shuttle for us and a travel cot. It’s walking distance to some nice bakeries, restaurants and shops.

It has a lot of potential but we felt the property was lacking a bit of care and attention. A lot of the light switches were broken and there were things left in the cupboard in the house that I felt could have been removed- like some old stained towels, presumably left by another visitor. There wasn’t any duvet cover on the bedsheets when we arrived and the freezer needed defrosting (but once we flagged these issues, they were dealt with). It could do with some more kitchen stuff like glasses and a good deep clean. I agree with other reviews, the shower is very small and there isn’t much privacy as it’s next to a long window but thankfully not too many people walked past! Unfortunately there were some ants.

The property was perfect for what I needed. Peaceful, private and close to the beach and everything I needed. Clean and tidy.

The property could benefit with a little maintenance. Kitchen needs some repairs and additional items such as bread board / chopping board and better utensils and pans. I managed okay but small things like this would make a big difference. Numerous light bulbs and fittings not working - no big deal but again, a simple fix. The private terrace garden area is lovely and would benefit with some furniture and a BBQ.

Closeness of the beach, enough space for all of us, all the appliances we needed, fans in every room, nice terrace.

Bathroom is small but that was not a problem for us.

The location was excellent - it was a 5 minute walk from the beach and all local amenities. The host left out some bread and water which was a nice touch.

Very few things were working. There were light switches which didn’t work, and the WIFI didn’t work and when I messaged Tina from Spiro who was looking after the property on behalf of the owners, she said it might have been because of the weather so I should message again to let her know if it was still not working. I did this the next day and she just didn’t reply. In a location with very limited signal on my phone, WiFi would have been appreciated! The shower/bathroom was also just the worst I’ve ever seen. It was so small and cramped. The shower was tiny and the shower head wasn’t even fitted to the wall so I had to hold it by hand to wash myself. The shower also didn’t stay hot for longer than 4 minutes at most. The shower curtain got stuck to my body while I was showering and - most inexplicably of all - there was a window inside the shower with no blind/curtain to hide my modesty, meaning anyone passing would be able to see me showering.
