A real home! We were delighted to stay at Casa di Ambra for our first visit to Catania. The location is amazing - so close to everything by walking (a bit far from the train with luggage, but there are loads of buses if needed). We love staying in a real home, not some vacation rental, because everything you need is available. Need scissors to open that package of cheese? Check! Ambra (who met us on check in) was super helpful and we used many of her local suggestions during our stay. From Catania we were also able to visit Taormina,Siracusa, and Etna easily without a car. The apartment is close to many bars, cafes, and restaurants but is also very quiet in the bedroom for sleeping. Highly recommended for a couple looking for a relaxing way to visit this part of Sicily!! We left Catania by plane and the Alibus to the airport is a very easy walk from the apartment. Grazie Massimo!!!

The apartment is exactly as described and how it looks in the pictures. The apartment is large with plenty of rooms and space. The location is great, just a couple of blocks from the Duomo and the main square. Plenty of great restaurants within a couple of blocks. Massimo's daughter Ambra was there to meet us at the apartment to tell us everything we needed to know. She was great and her english was excellent.

Massimo met the four (two couples) of us at the railway station and took us to the apartment. He was very thorough in explaining the features and was also very helpful with information on markets, supermarkets and sights. The apartment is enormous and easily accommodated two couples. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living areas are very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.Virginia and Ralph, Melbourne, AustraliaDiana and Jean, Paris, France
