Situated on the top floor of historic Broadmeadows House this light and airy family friendly let is accessed by an internal circular red sandstone staircase (with a climb of 62 steps this is perhaps not suitable for our less able guests!)The accommodation comprises of

My husband and I, along with our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed our stay at Broadmeadows House. Dianne is highly knowledgeable about the entire area and extremely accommodating for your needs. We’d definitely return for another stay!

The apartment was wonderful,the rooms were all a good size well furnished and immaculate. The location was just right for us. Plenty of walks from the door step and lots more to do within an easy distance.. All in all we had a marvellous time. Thank you.

It's quite a climb (62 steps) to the front door of Uplands apartment but what waits within is well worth it! Amazing, peaceful views in a classy and comfortable environment. The lounge is large, the bedrooms larger and the bathroom even larger still! The finishes and finishing touches throughout are of a high standard which all adds to the relaxed and luxury experience. The kitchen is simple and functional and my favourite spot was sitting at the kitchen table, whatever the meal or coffee break, and simply looking out of the window. The fact that our host, Dianne, was extremely helpful and accommodating added to our experience and we would highly recommend a stay at Broadmeadows.

We spent a week at Broadmeadows in the upper flat. It was very quite (which we like a lot), with easy access to lots of walks and we also spent a fair bit of time visiting some near by attractions such as Abbotsford etc. Diane and Richard were very helpful indeed in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend.

We just spent 6 nights staying in The Uplands with our 2 children (6 and 2 and a half) and are returning home feeling rested after a lovely stay. The views from every window are breathtaking - We loved watching the mist roll in over the trees after the children went to bed! - and it was very peaceful and quiet despite other guests being present in the main house. Our daughter was thrilled with her 'princess bed' although a little high for our toddler who was comfortably accommodated on a fold up bed, and we all slept really well. The kitchen was very well appointed which meant cooking was easy. There was also a wide selection of plastic tableware for the children which was great. I would say the whole place was all thoughtfully laid out. We were grateful for board games and puzzles, the rubber duck (children love a bath toy!) and I really appreciated the presence of a bath and a separate shower cubicle. I loved the reed diffusers which made the whole place smell divine - have already looked them up on Amazon! Everything was tidy and well-presented; bed linens and towels (lovely large bathsheets and handtowels) were clean and fresh. Dianne and Richard were extremely welcoming and we very much appreciated little touches like the tea/coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival. The 63 steps upstairs might be a drawback for some but the youngest of our children was able to cope with guidance so it was fine. The trampoline is a lovely idea and great for our 6 year old but the lack of an enclosure meant we had to keep our impulsive toddler away. Had the weather been better we would have made use of the barbeque. We couldn't fault the facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay - we hope too visit again in the not too distant future!

A real find and unexpected treasure for a reunion weekend with old friends. A spacious and very well appointed apartment with comfortable rooms, personal touches and spectacular views. Diane was available and attentive to all needs without being intrusive for a moment. A perfect spot for walking, cycling, motoring, stately homes and country estates. Blessed by lovely weather, even soft rain showers, the hedgerows were bursting with interest and action, and the forests alive with bird calls. All joy, we look forward to returning. Thank you so much.

BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS, LOVELY HOME AND EVERYTHING WE COULD POSSIBLY NEED (EXCEPT AN AMERICAN ADAPTOR). OWNER WAS A VERY NICE LADY WHO SEEMED TO RUN THE ENTIRE PLACE ON HER OWN! WHOEVER STAYS HERE WOULD NEED A CAR FOR GETTING OUT TO NEARBY ATTRACTIONS OR EVEN JUST GROCERY SHOPPING. THE OWNER TOOK US INTO TOWN THE FIRST NIGHT SO WE WERE ABLE TO STOCK UP ON FOOD. LOVED THE HIKING AND VIEW FROM THE HILLTOP. WE HAD A TAXI TAKE US TO AND FROM THE TRAIN STATION. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR RELAXATION.
