Welcome to The Lighthouse in Lincoln City, located in, you guessed it - Lincoln City! This one story home has room for up to six guests, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms! You'll have incredibly close beach access, just a short walk away down the street, with not one, but two beach access points just a short distance apart from each other! There is also a bookstore, a couple of restaurants, and even a chocolate shop selling freshly made chocolate every day just a short walk from this lovely home as well! Next to the bookstore is a playhouse, with plays performing all year, so check out the showtimes while you're here! Step inside, and you'll find yourself in an open space containing both the living room area and the dining area. The sofa pulls out into a queen size couch, perfect for the kids to camp out on during your stay! The dining room table offers seating for up to six guests, so feel free to also eat in the living area! The kitchen is decorated with a cute coastal theme complete with sailboats and water, and offers everything you need to whip up some simple, homemade meals while on your stay. Head down the hallway and you'll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and even a laundry room! You'll find the first bedroom in the hallway, complete with a walk-in shower. The first bedroom offers a queen size bed. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed as well, along with it's own attached bathroom, complete with a shower/tub combo. The laundry room is open for our guests, so feel free to pack lightly during your trip and wash clothes while on your stay! Walking distance to coffee and the beach was so nice! The house could have been cleaner. The floors were dirty, and there were little gross hairs in the shower. There was a scented plug in that was sickenly sweet smelling by the front door. I had to unplug it as it was giving me a headache, but when that smell went away, I could smell lingering wet dog-after having the house open for a while, that went away. The cupboards smelled a little funny and there were ants on the kitchen counter that I had to keep killing. Lots of police activity up and down 101 throughout the night each night and with no AC, we had windows open for air, so we were woken up 5-6 times the first night from sirens. We were only woken up a few times the next couple nights by them. For the cost, we expected more, but it was Labor Day weekend, so the expensive stay was expected. Probably won’t stay here again and will test our luck with a different house.

This property is in serious need of maintenance and upgrading. The listing erroneously says "2 bath" but it's really only 1 1/2 bath since #2 bathroom only puts out cold water. I would not consider it a good value for what we paid, and would not stay here again.

Everything was great. BBQ was out of propane, so we texted them and they brought a new one within a few hours. One shower is pretty much un-useable for adults, but the 2nd shower was fine.

The property advertised a deck and a grill. I was not told in advance that the deck was under construction. I had a birthday cook out planned. So far I have not been given any compensation for this. Also the floors were dirty, the pullout sofa had potato chips in it and the there were rodents.

Good house for dog, and is a short walk to beach access. Place had a musty smell, but was fine once windows were opened. Listing advertises oceanviews, deck, and bbq. There are no oceanviews from anywhere in the house or street. We were told the deck was inaccessible during our stay after we already booked, though was clearly known at the time we booked, they just never updated the listing. We asked if the bbq would still be accessible and were lead to believe it would be, but it was on the deck, which was inaccessible. The tv was also not functional. We passed this all onto to property management at the beginning of our stay and got no response.

We have stayed in several vacation rentals over the last few years. The beds in this house were uncomfortable. The kids said there beds were ok (front room and futon) but i laid in both queen beds and they really need updated. The kitchen is stocked with dished but having seasoning or or storage bags would be nice since most of the reason we rent a house to eat there and we had to buy full size seasoning and condiments for just 2 days. The neighborhood was very quite, it was close to beach access and town for easy travel and activities. We wouldnt stay again just because of the beds. I will say, the property is clean and there are lots of movies and games available.

We loved the Oregon Coast & this house was just 3 blocks from beach. The house had musty smell when we first came in, so opened all doors and windows to air it out. Also clumps of dog hair on floor. There were two major issues (in our opinion). First: The clothes washing machine appeared to be decades old and the tub suspension system was shot. No matter how many times we stopped to redistribute the load the machine kept jumping and bouncing up and down. Only dared run one load through this machine. The dryer worked fine. Second issue: There were two bathrooms in the house. The larger one between the two bedrooms had a tub/shower combination. The problem was that where the tile surround for the shower met the top of the tub, the entire area was covered in brown mildew. This was as much as a 1/2 inch thick at the back end of the tub. Lesser issues were: The dish washer had a sewer smell when we opened it, so we did not use it and hand washed all dishes; one of the two plastic chairs on the outside deck was badly broken but there were some folding chairs behind the door that could be used. The back of the house looked in much better condition than the front. The two metal doors into the garage were both painted blue but were badly rusted along the tops. The red rust was highly visible against the blue of the door. Wood trim on front door area was broken off and there were holes in vinyl trim. Spent as little time as possible in this house.

The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is nearby. Nice location with a few decent restaurants nearby. There are also parks nearby for light hiking. The house was comfortable and spacious. The WiFi was very good. The gas grill was really nice to have. My only real complaint were the pillows - not firm enough.

Location near beach is excellent - only a short walk. Plenty of clean towels. Comfortable bed. Kitchen well stocked. No good place to sit outside as back porch has hole in it and appears to have rotted spot, and grass not cut on side of house. Street has heavy traffic-loud and sometimes fast.Bathroom tub needs major attention—one sliding door does not slide without very difficult pull, grout discolored and appears moldy, and bottom finish deteriorating. Mirror finish bad. Also one of the grill burners not working. Great dining table for large family.

The house was wonderful, we had lots of room for everyone. Enjoyed the short walk to the beach ⛱️. There were a few things that I would recommend. There's no can opener, no Tupperware, foil or anything to store food that was left over. The left back burner on the stove doesn't work either. I would recommend updating the kitchen items for the guests. The first thing i do is go shopping for meals for my family for our stay at the beach. It would be very nice to have the things that are needed to cook properly and store food. Other than those minor things we did really enjoy the property. My kids really enjoyed that there were lots of games and vhs tapes (they thought that was pretty cool 😎).

My sister and I headed to Lincoln City with our dogs to search for the glass floats. This property was perfect! Nice quiet street, big side yard to let the dogs play (not fenced but we hadn’t planned to let them out of our site so that was perfectly fine. It was exactly what we expected… old furniture and not super comfy beds but nice and clean with plenty of space, dishes, cooking equipment, linens, paper towels, toilet tissue, dish soap, hand soap, even laundry soap! Short walk to the beach with a ramp (not stairs) to the sand. Nice little closed off space at both front and back doors for wiping wet sandy paws off before going into the living space. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a cute little place and we loved our stay! It is a little dated, but it was just right for us and the nostalgia added to the charm of our visit. The house was equipped with everything we needed and the location was very convenient for getting around Lincoln City, but tucked away on a quiet street. There were even board games in the closet. I watered the plant while we were there cause it looked quite thirsty! Thanks for a great weekend.

My family and I go to the coast every year. This was our first beach house though. We were happy with the house for the most part and would rent it again. I do have some suggestions. The cleaning was not as we expected. In fact my daughter found baby toys under an end table and chips in the couch. Speaking of couch the entire front room furniture needs an update. The hide a bed didn't work and the chairs had also seen better times lol. Also the back deck is a bit wobbly. I wouldn't want to have very many people out there at once. There was little things as well that the office came and fixed quickly. For future renters we had to get paper products like paper towels and kleenex but other than that it was stocked with good soap and laundry detergent. Overall we fell in love with this home and will be back! Thank you

It was cute though, the house was a little quirky on the back, but the extra space and bathroom was a plus! Like others said, the furniture could be updated, it has had a long life! And the beds...Another review said concrete slab, I think more like plywood. The house needs a deep clean, OBV does a wonderful job as always turning between guests, but walls and entry need a really good cleaning soon. All in all I liked this place, we spend much of our day out and it was nice to come back and cook dinner, shower, and do laundry of all things!

We loved this little house. It's close to the beach, easy to navigate to/from and it had/was everything we needed. A comfortable and quiet place to crash after long days of exploring. Other then a little bit of cleaning that was missed before we arrived we have absolutely no complaints. We had hot showers, slept well, fridge to stash food in, basic dishes that we needed, hot coffee in the morning, a couch to unwind on before bed and it's close to the beach. It was a perfect getaway, just wish we could stay longer.

There is a strange basement apartment and Garage that were inaccessible that just made the stay a bit eerie. But the place was clean.

Main complaint was that we had dogs and the house is listed as dog friendly but there is no place to let your pup off leash. We had to take them on a leash everywhere they went which was not much of a vacation for them...

We had to leave early due to an emergency and when I notified them, it was two days early, they thanked me for saying something but didn’t even offer any money back. It just felt uncaring.

We were in the market for a rental company for our family vacations. We are still looking.

The roof in the back room leaked during rainy times, which was not dealt with while we were there. The only drawback was that the deck needs some major upgrading as it was very soft. Will stay again.

This property was perfect for my family of 5. We loved the 5 minute walk to the beach we loved the option of cooking at the house for the kids or eating and several near by local businesses. Our only con for the property was not having a broom to sweep all the beach sand from the floor after all the amazing walks on the beach. We would definitely stay at this property again in the future.

Turns out we had nothing to worry about, it was perfect for us! Very nicely decorated and clean, and was super comfortable for our family of 3 plus 2 dogs. Kitchen was stocked with most things that you could need, and there is a cute enclosed deck in the back with a bbq grill to use. It was very private and we rarely ran into anyone. The beach is less than a 10 min walk away, and the beach was also generally quiet during the weekdays. There is even a cute tidal pool that you can walk to nearby. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage!

Clean, well-stocked & furnished (kitchen, extra blankets & pillows, etc.) Excellent customer service (our coffee pot wasn’t working and they brought a new one within a couple of hours, which was greatly appreciated!) Originally, we had made a mistake on our reservation dates, and once I got ahold of Ocean Beach Vacations (instead of VRBO), they were able to resolve my issue, for which I’m very thankful. Technically, it could sleep 8, if you count hide-a-bed in front sitting room and futon in back, or at least 2 singles and two couples. Thankful also for them allowing dogs for reasonable fee, although we didn’t end up bringing them. Appreciated having W/D option, noticed lots of movies & games for kids, two off-street parking spots and balcony, which had some patio furniture & a nice, covered BBQ. Easy to find, close to beach access, (can walk or drive,) as well short drive to other beaches, parks, shopping & restaurants. Overall, it was an outstanding experience: clean, great location and excellent customer service. We will stay again and looking forward to it!

Reviewer Comments: On the way there, got a call from Oregon Beach Vacations, and was told that we would not be able to check in until 6 pm. We finally, was able to check in, the house had been spot cleaned, the bdrm light in one of the rooms was out, the coffee pot was broke, was told someone would come and fix the light, they never showed up, or heard from them. Had an accident, called the Oregon Beach Vacations, and told them we were leaving because of said accident. It was recorded, supposedly. Was told someone would be contacting my niece, since she was the one reporting it and telling them that we were leaving. She has never heard from them.

Very clean and just a few blocks from easy beach access. Coffee pot was not working which was a bummer and dishes left in dishwasher from previous visitor. Plenty of sleeping space and extra pillows and blankets which was very nice! Will definitely visit again!

The walk to the beach is just 4 blocks, less than ten minutes by foot. The kitchen is well-equipped, offstreet parking is available for your car and there is even a small back deck with a sitting area. The flooring is all new laminate throughout the house with no carpet. Loved this place for the price!! I will definitely stay here again in the future.
