Apartment located in the heart of the historic city - 50 m from Place aux Herbes

For my wife and I, the apartment more than met all our needs; central, 'walk to everything' location, access to outside spaces, both front and rear, all conveniences provided, pots, dishes, internet, etc. The bustle of Uzes was out our front windows and the quite, sleeping area was in the rear. Jane & Claude were gracious, helpful hosts, especially on the tip for where to find parking and the La Tomate Bleue Restaurant. Now about Uzes; international & local, small yet very lively, markets, squares, tennis, knitting, painting, language classes, fun, gracious people, cafes & restaurants of all varieties, nearby small villages & Pont du Gard, all in an over the top beautiful setting. We highly recommend the Apartment and the Village.

Despite my lack of French, all arrangements went smoothly and we had a lovely time. Very comfortable apartment, centrally located, and with everything you could need. Highly recommend it.

From the first communication through to the final goodbye in person this place was wonderful. We were greeted in person by Jane and Claude who were charming and helpful about the village and the apartment. They even kindly invited us to come with them to Pont du Gard to an incredible light projection and music show. The apartment is large and very well set up. As they live there part time there is everything you need and more, especially in the kitchen. They had waiting for us fresh milk, fresh bread, and a lovely bottle of wine from a friend’s local vineyard. Very kind and thoughtful. The rooms are large and airy. The bed is very comfortable. The room is quite hot at night and the air con can’t be used overnight as the noise disturbs the neighbors however there is a fan and the doors can be left open. There is a mosquito net over the bed too although we only saw one mosquito. The apartment includes a wonderful large terrace. We lived out here in the evenings with a platter of all the lovely local food and cold rosè - trè bien ! The apartment is very well situated and we loved the location - close to everything. Jane offers a wonderful and comfortable apartment on the second floor of a centuries old building steeped in history

Jane’s apartment is the perfect place to enjoy and experience the beautiful village of Uzès. The apartment is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals with the fresh fish, cheese, produce and other fabulous foods from the twice weekly market. The location is quiet and close to everything. We will be back.

We loved staying in Jane's apartment. It is centrally located in Uzes, just steps away from the historical center where the 2 weekly markets are held. The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed, and Jane made sure that we knew how to take advantage of all of the amenities. Everything was in excellent working condition. The bed was comfortable and the terrace in the back was ideal for breakfast in the morning and watching the sun set in the evening. Uzes itself is a great place to stay. It is easy driving distance to many places of interest, and the town has lots of restaurants and places to shop for food, pharmacy needs, and other items. We are so glad that we chose to stay in this apartment, and we thank Jane for her gracious welcome and hospitality.

We have stayed in some wonderful places through Air BnB and HomeAway - and this has been the best of all. Jane is the kindest of hosts - we were welcomed and so warmed by her generosity and care. We stayed for longer than usual, and everything about it was perfect. The apartment is so pretty - lovely wrought iron balconies at the front, and a large sunny deck at the back where we enjoyed almost all our meals. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed preparing meals - buying many treats from the fabulous market across the road in the Place Aux Herbes - so easy. Both bedrooms are large and light, and the access from the main bedroom onto the back balcony is a delight. The bathroom area is quite separate which makes it very private. And in spring, opening the doors onto the street from the main living area is so pretty. We used many of Jane's recommendations for the best boulangeries, restaurants etc and they were such a help. Everything is close to the apartment - you feel very much a part of this very picturesque market town, but it is also quiet and peaceful here. We traveled from Australia to spend time in the south of France and wanted to find a town to stay in that was small enough to be in without a car, but with enough to do to keep us interested. Uses was absolutely the right choice - and we feel so lucky to have found Jane's apartment as well. It could not have been better. Thankyou Jane for making this trip so special. It is very rare to stay in an apartment for a week and finish your stay feeling that there was not one thing you did not like about it, but that is what happened in this apartment in Uzés. It is Jane's 'second home' and this is reflected in everything about the apartment; it is beautifully decorated and provisioned with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. It was extremely hot in Uzés while we stayed in the apartment and we very much appreciated the air conditioning, which is not always a given in France. The apartment is also actually larger than you imagine from the description and the terrace at the back would have been brilliant for an afternoon drink if it hadn't been so hot. The apartment's location in Uzés is fantastic. It is on the ring road around the old town, so out the door of the apartment building, cross the road and a few doors up you will find a passageway that leads to the Place aux Herbes which is a very nice place to have a cool afternoon drink. Indeed, the apartment is close to everything charming Uzés has to offer. Jane also recommended a restaurant called Le Petit Jardin, a few doors away from the apartment, and if you stay you must try it. We went there twice. If you have a car there is paid parking behind the apartment in a secure parking lot which costs €13 for a full 24 hour period and less if you take your car out for the day. We paid about €7 if we went out for a day trip. Perhaps, for me, one of the nicest things about staying here was Jane herself. Throughout the whole booking process she was easily contactable and provides so much detailed information about the apartment, how to arrive etc. When we arrived she had provided food and wine and texted a few days later to check we were surviving the heat. When we left, we said goodbye to a lovely woman who I would have liked to have known better. Stay here if you have the opportunity.

The location couldn't have been more central : walking distance to all the sights, restaurants and shops. It was delightful to go out to nearby bakeries every morning to get the freshest croissants and baguettes. The apartment is lovingly furnished and very comfortable for my husband and myself.The kitchen is extremely well equipped although we didn't eat dinners in as there are so many charming bistros and cafes around. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace for a glass of rose while watching the sunset every evening. The balcony in front allowed us to catch a glimpse of every day's life and made us feel like being a part of the town. Even though Jane gave us the keys in Paris and had her caretaker greet us on arrival she still emailed to ensure all went well. We felt right at home !

We spent a month in France and Italy and Uzes/Jane's apartment was a highlight of our trip. It was the perfect size for our family of 4, with two young boys. The apartment had lovely furnishings and felt comfortable and personal. The modern and upgraded kitchen and bathroom were a great complement to the older character of the building. It was perfect! We enjoyed many evenings on the back porch enjoying the sunsets. Jane was an amazing host – even meeting us in Paris prior to our arrival in Uzes so that we would know each other when we arrived in Uzes in our rental car. She was also very helpful, offering restaurant and other suggestions about activities in the area, and assisting us by finding a babysitter so we could enjoy a night out! During our stay, we appreciated that she was not intrusive and trusted us to her apartment completely. As mentioned by other reviewers, the kitchen was well-stocked and had a good collection of kitchen gear, allowing us to cook at home and enjoy the market goods. Uzes is a gorgeous little town famous for twice-weekly markets and winding marble streets. We would return in an instant… to Uzes and to this lovely apartment.

We loved it so much we extended our stay twice! Delightfully decorated and appointed, with a superbly equipped kitchen. Such a bonus to have a full pantry of basics provided. The apartment has easy access to free parking, is close to shops, markets, boulangeries - couldn't ask for more. The owner is delightful - accommodating and informative, but totally unintrusive. We certainly hope to return, Uzès enchanted us.

We were met by the charming owner who was welcoming, helpful and particularly informative about parking, shopping and eating out. The apartment is lovely and extremely well equipped. The balcony was a lovely extra. It is ideally suited to explore the beautiful old town and enjoy the market but was very quiet and peaceful at night. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives.

We stayed in this apartement for 6 days at the end of August, and were very pleased with it. The location was excellent, right on the main ring road in Uzes, just a short walk from la Place aux Herbes. The place was very clean, and well appointed. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. The patio with gas BBQ was perfect for evening dinners with friends who were staying nearby. The owner provided excellent tips on her preferred places to eat and shop, as well as info on things to do in the area. Street parking is always a challenge in Uzes at this time of year, but there was a paid lot a 2-3 minute walk away for 9 Euro per day that always had spaces available. The apartment had air conditioning, but we never had to turn it on, despite the warm weather, as there was good airflow through the large opening windows. Nice views of the street scene from the front balconies, and nice sunset views from the patio. The hammock on the patio was perfect for an afternoon nap. We would definitely stay here again.

Die Ferienwohnung war uns ideal. Sie ist sehr ansprechend und vollständig ausgestattet und liegt absolut zentral. Das Highlight ist auf der einen Seite der Wohnung der Blick vom kleinen Balkon über das Treiben auf den Boulevard Gambetta und auf der Westseite die beschauliche Atmosphäre auf der geräumigenTerrasse, ausgestattet mit Tisch, Stühlen, Liegestühlen, elektrischer Markise und Weber-Gasgrill. Die sehr zu empfehlende Boulangerie und Patisserie liegt direkt gegenüber, alles andere ist in ein paar Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Ein Tipp noch für diejenigen, die mit dem Auto anreisen: Im Boulevard Gambetta ist über die Woche nur ein Kurzparken möglich. Längeres Parken ist auf dem Parkplatz gegen Gebühr direkt hinter der Ferienwohnung oder gebührenfrei direkt am anschließenden Wohnviertel (Rue Joseph Lacroix, Rue de Cedres,etc.) möglich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Superbe appartement en plein centre ville . Terrasse côté jardin très appréciable. L’appartement est spacieux et très bien équipé et agencé . Merci pour l’accueil et l’écoute de Jane sans oublier Marie Jose qui nous a accueilli à notre arrivée.

Appartement plein de charme, bien équipé et très confortable situé au 2ème étage d'un immeuble historique d'Uzès. Il est idéalement situé, à 2 pas (littéralement), de la place aux Herbes et du centre historique. Mention spéciale à la superbe terrasse parfaite pour se détendre et prendre ses repas. Jane est très accueillante et disponible. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour dans la magnifique ville d'Uzès, merci Jane.

Die Wohnung im 2. Obergeschoss mitten im Zentrum von Uzés, an dem Boulevard Gambette ist zum Wohlfühlen eingerichtet, es fehlte an nichts. Die Terrasse auf der Strassenabgewanten Seite ist ideal zum Zurückziehen, essen und lesen. An der mit Platanen gesäumten Strasse, duftete es schon morgens in der Frühe nach frisch gebackenen Baquette und anderem mehr. Verschiedene Geschäfte wie Metzgereien sind alle an dieser Strasse zu finden. Fünf Minuten Fussweg um auf den Place aux Herbes zu gelangen. Wichtig zu wissen schein uns, dass man im Parkhaus der Stadt für vierzehn Tag eine Dauerkarte zum Preis von € 95.40 erhält. Die Besitzerin, gab uns gute Tipps für Besichtigungen und Restaurants. Zentrale Lage sehr gut. Zweites Schlafzimmer ist kein Schlafzimmer, sondern Büro mit Sofa, das "umfunktiniert" wird und mit eine dünnen decke belgt als Bett dienten soll. Leute, die mit sehr harter Unterlage Problemem haben, sind damit schlecht bedient. Küchenschaben in der Küche. Die Wohnung ist sehr dunkel. Was geboten wird, rechtfertigt den hohen Preis keinesfalls.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, perfekt ausgestattet, zentrale Lage, freudliche Vermieterin und Kontaktperson vor Ort. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Nous avons passé un joyeux séjour dans cette location d'Uzès. L'appartement est très confortable et bien équipé, en plein coeur de la ville, dans un boulevard échelonné de restaurants et de magasins. Juste en face, il y a une boulangerie. Rien que traverser la rue pour pouvoir se régaler tous les jours avec des croissants et des viennoiseries au petit déjeuner. Nous avons notamment apprécié la petite terrasse où nous avons pu dîner en contemplant les beaux couchers du soleil. Mis à part Uzès, ville à réminiscences médiévales qui mérite d'être visitée, nous avons fait le parcours des villages alentours, chacun recèle un charme particulier. Le pont du Gard est aussi un incontournable du pays. Nous remercions Jane, la propriétaire, de sa gentillesse, de son attention, de tous ses soucis pour nous rendre notre séjour agréable et de tous les bons conseils et renseignements sur les endroits à visiter et sur les restaurants. Nous garderons toujours un très bon souvenir de nos vacances à Uzès.
