About this apartment rental
The apartment is on the first floor of an 18th century town house in a tranquil pedestrian street in the historic centre of Uzès, away from the crowds yet just a minute’s walk from the busy and popular Place aux Herbes - the best of both worlds. White wooden beams and walls, limed wooden and tiled terracotta floors provide a simple backdrop for colourful textiles. A large, light and well-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area looks on to the street, and opens through to the comfortable sitting room with huge period stone fireplace. This room provides a welcome retreat from the sun in summer.
A small and sunny glazed conservatory area with table and chairs opening on to a balcony area is perfect for cooler days and leads up two or three steps to a large sunny terrace (much sought-after in the centre of Uzès) surrounded by trees, rooftops and with glimpses of the countryside beyond.
The master bedroom has a double bed, while a second, smaller bedroom, the other side of the little salon, has twin beds. There is a shower room with WC, and second WC with basin.
The apartment provides many attractive spots to sit and read, eat, relax at different times of the year. Listen to the nightingale on an early May morning, watch the house martens swoop round late evening from the terrace in summer. If lucky, you might see a hoopoe.

At the top of all our vrbo experiences! Fabulous location on pedestrian street that’s a three-minute walk to Place aux Herbes and 100 yards from fantastic boulangerie/ patisserie. Apartment has warmth and personality as well as a real working kitchen. British owner spends part of her year here so it’s like being a guest in someone’s charming home. Spacious, with light-filled master bedroom, 1-1/2 baths, large eat-in kitchen, cozy living room, and a great little sunroom leading out to deck complete with outdoor furniture, tables and chairs, plants, shade, and friendly neighborhood cat. A small second bedroom with twin beds is separate from master BR. Owner and her family members who manage property were wonderful to work with and now seem like new friends. Uzès is absolutely charming — fabulous weekly markets and abundant restaurants, in proximity to Pont du Gard and other sites, yet with a down-to-earth real-town feel. Very highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 days in the apartment. The apartment is spacious, full of light, with a comfortable bed, a kitchen made for cooking and to top it off in a great location.

This property is large, characterful, charming, well furnished and equipped. It has a beautiful outside area/balcony to relax in.
The host, Cath, was a delight to communicate with. She was helpful, kind, considerate and went the extra mile to ensure we had a good stay.
The apartment itself is ideally located in a beautiful pedestrian street only a few minutes walk from the main shopping square and free plentiful parking.
As a day trip we recommend a kayaking trip from Collias to the Pont du Gard. It was fun from start to finish.
