The property is ideally situated between Chichester and the wonderful West Wittering beach. The cottage itself is located so as to give a sense of gentle isolation and the bonus of being able to open the back doors and step into the Orchard is exceptional.

There are no downsides from the point of view that it offers what it states. This is our second stay at the Grenadier cottage and it was equally as enjoyable as the first.

We were a multi generational family celebrating an 80th and 88th Birthdays, a party of 18 which included three children. we all loved the cottages, particularly as we had booked all four, and were able to let the children run free and play games without annoying anyone. We went for walks, we had lunch at the Marina on Saturday, and the Wittering beaches, In the evenings we played games and catered for ourselves mainly. We all enjoyed the stay and were very impressed with the accommodation, the orchard garden is large and absolutely stunning, we were lucky with the weather and were able to sit out on the terraces from breakfast to evening. Would definitely recommend and we would love to return.

One of the cottages had a problem with the ensuite shower, which unfortunately flooded and dripped into the lounge below, on two days, which was unfortunate and inconvenient to those staying in the cottage. This was reported to the owners who were very apologetic and were in the process of fixing this leak. The only other thing I complained about is the top bunk of the bunk beds, did not have a sufficient safety rail to prevent children falling out, which unfortunately, happened to my eight year old Grand-daughter, who luckily fell on her side and was rather shaken but unhurt.

Nicely decorated, spacious, clean, well furnished, close to local amenities.

Foul smell in the upstairs bedrooms, not sure if the drains are blocked but its pretty pungent, also upstairs heating didn't work so felt chilly in the evenings. No welcome pack on arrival. Instructions on use of heating and information on local amenities such as supermarket, restaurants etc would have been helpful.
