About this cottage rental

Welcome to your beach getaway with all the comforts of home. This newly renovated 4-bedroom beach house with a sunny front porch has everything you need. The ocean is just a few steps from your door, and the 7 miles of beach are beautiful each time of year. The rooms have high ceilings and wood floors throughout the living area and all four bedrooms. The large kitchen is well-equipped and has new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Both baths have a tub/shower. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. The bedrooms comfortably sleep 10. New designer couches (2021).

You will need to bring your own sheets and towels. There is an electric grill on the back deck. You can park 2 cars in the driveway. It is possible for you to also rent one or both fully updated 2-bedroom full bath apartments that are on the same lot behind the main house. Great option if you plan to stay with friends or extended family.

Union Ave is a quiet road with beautiful beach houses and the surf school. A great deli and many other shops and restaurants are around the corner, and it is a 10-minute walk to the pier of Old Orchard Beach. The quaint village of Ocean Park, with its ice cream parlor, shuffle boards and tennis courts, is also a short stroll. It is a 20-minute drive to Portland, with its many restaurants, art and culture and the mall. You can walk to the Amtrak station where the Downeaster stops regularly from mid-May to September, and head to Portland, Freeport or Boston. The train stops year-round at the Amtrak station in Saco, which is a 10-minute drive from the house. In the off-season, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Old Orchard Beach and its beautiful coastline. It is a 20-minute drive to the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus.

This property is perfect for our family of 9. The location is perfect with a short walk to the beach and a half mile to the pier and a half mile to Ocean Park. Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds and one room has a king size bed, which is perfect for our family with all adult children. My favorite part of this house is the front porch and the many rockers where you can either sit in the shade or in the sun and enjoy a view of the beach. Roger and Sabine are quick to respond to any questions. We hope to return every summer!

A perfect house for our 3 generation reunion. Enough space for the 7 of us, a quick walk to a beautiful sandy beach, and about 5-10 minutes to walk into town. Enjoyed the grill and the front porch. Lots of body surfing, boogie boarding and sand castle building. There is a life guard at the beach too. Easy to get into Portland if you need a break from the beach. Easily found on street parking. Only small complaint could use more coffee mugs and teaspoons. Otherwise quite lovely!

This property was an excellent fit for our family. Fantastic location from the beach and within walking distance to the pier. We loved the neighborhood and spending time on the front porch. The rooms were spacious and we appreciated the large beds and futon couches in the livingroom. We will be back!

This was my second time renting out this place. I came because I had a good experience the first time. The second time not so much. First I will list the pros Pros: good location from the beach . Love the porch and beach gear to borrow Cons: Parking is tight especially when you have all three renting out the different places. Also, the pictures look totally different from the couches that are actually there. Definitely outdated and ready to fall apart. Even hang my clothes in the room, where the king bed was because there is a horrible oil smell and made my clothes smell bad. The air conditioners are so disgusting and need to be cleaned. The blankets that they provide on the bed are hardly blankets. I wouldn’t even call them if you are staying there please bring your own comforter and warm blanket. Lastly, we were sitting in the living room and saw a mouse running across the floor into the kitchen. Overall, it was good, but will I stay there again now definitely not worth the money
