The location could not have been better, right in the centre of the old town of Bergerac in a minutes walk from all restaurants, bars and the river front. The room was comfortable with adequate facilities and the hostess very obliging and friendly

The entrance is gloomy and stairs were difficult with cases, although hostess helped a great deal. However, as the flat is in a very old building the slight 'rickety-ness' is understandable.

The location is perfect. Great communication from Harry the owner. Mdm Hinde, picked me up from the airport and dropped me off. This was good because transfer seems limited.

The apartment is a little noisy at night given its central location, but not a problem.

Good location. Bit noisy, but right in the centre. Plenty of space. Nice host.

Front door access is a problem. Door jams and needs to be fixed! We had to get help on 2 occasions to get in. There is a sofa bed that stays open - would have preferred proper bed as plenty of space. No corkscrew!

1. Location of the accommodation: It was excellent, especially considering its central position within the city. Not only was it conveniently situated in the heart of the city, but it also offered proximity to all the major monuments and attractions. Also, there were convenient grocery stores located nearby, ensuring easy access to essential supplies. 2. Welcome surprise: My mother and I don't drink, but we were offered a bottle of wine during our stay. 3. Price: The price per night is very affordable. 4. Wifi: The internet works really well. 5. Understanding: Due to our early flight, we requested a refund and an early check-out to ensure everything was in order. None of them were able to be at the accommodation before 9 am, but as a solution, they suggested arranging the refund and check-out a day earlier. Then, we agreed on a place to safely leave the keys when my mum and I left the house early in the morning.

1. Communication: We encountered some difficulties due to the language barrier. There were multiple individuals involved in the check-in and check-out process - I spoke with 3 different people: the host (Mr. Harry), Madame Hinde, and Madam Hinde's daughter. It'd have been more convenient if there was just one English-speaking person handling these interactions. Unfortunately, the only person proficient in English was Mr. Harry, with whom I communicated solely through messages. To communicate with Madam Hinde and her daughter, I had to rely on Google Translate as I don't speak French. 2. Uncomfortable sleeping sofa/bed: The sofa doubling as a bed was not the most comfortable option, especially for taller individuals. The size of the bed seemed a bit small for taller people, and it affected our overall comfort during our stay. 3. Product deficiencies: During our stay at the local accommodation, my mother and I encountered a shortage of essential items. As we had problems because of the bath towels at the beginning of the stay, we decided to purchase some of the items by ourselves such as toilet paper and a kitchen roll since only one of each was provided upon our arrival, and they were almost finished. Despite searching throughout the house, we couldn't find any of these supplies. 4. Noise disturbances at night: While the noise issue may not be directly attributed to the accommodation itself, we found it challenging to get a good night's sleep due to excessive noise. The presence of 3 bars in close proximity to the accommodation contributed to a consistently noisy environment, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
