Another great week watching the wildlife, family of wild pigs wandering about the lake edge and a good chat to the fish farm worker as to how things worked. Would recommend this his site to anyone who loves nature. Great little restaurant in St Micheal de Brenne for a lunch time meal as well.

I didn't want to award 5 stars incase too many people start visiting and book when I want to go next. We are both keen on wildlife and this place has it in abundance, especially birds. We saw 4 foxes playing early one morning and and osprey and kingfishers catching fish. Will be returning for certain. Francoise is also a great hostess and very quick to respond to emails. Dean

This is truely a splendid location to enjoy the Brenne's amazing rich nature: red deer, wild boar, red fox, a great number of bird species. They can all be seen around the house and in the etang and forest in the 'backgarden' of the beautiful house.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is located beautiful. We were warmly welcomed by Françoise, who is very helpful. Everything you need is present. You have a beautiful view on the lake. We like birding and we were not disappointed. We also saw many roe deer. We are looking forward to our return in september.

Les Etangs Chats is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in - the house was a lovely cool refuge from the heat and the grounds were stunning. Francoise and her family were welcoming, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. As keen wildlife watchers, this was a paradise for us - we could relax outside the property watching ospreys, kingfishers, purple and night herons, red deer, wild boar and so much more. The area of La Brenne is stunning and very very quiet. Close to the perfect holiday - I'm sure we will return.

Fantastic house with a great outdoor space. On a separate estate, with lots of privacy. The owner is very friendly and very helpful. Dozens of routes for walking and cycling are available. You can't swim in the lakes. And a car is required.

Amazingly beautiful environment - loads of wildlife (egrets, herons, grebes, deer, boar) and just the place to sit back and relax. Well-appointed accommodation all on one level and lots of outdoor space to relax. Only downside was the biting flies in the woods where we walked the dog every morning but I guess that is a seasonal problem. Nearby villages have all the basics and are a 10-12 minute drive away. Wonderful roads for road cycling - surfaces good, lots of options for circular routes, local drivers generally courteous and leave enough space, some climbs about 15 to 20 km to the south if you are looking for them. We didn't have gravel/ off-road bikes so I can't comment on the network of trails Basically, a great place

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well equipped property in the heart of la Brenne. We are birdwatchers and saw many birds on our private lake. A warm welcome from Francoise and her daughter who showed us round. Francoise’s husband drove us around their magnificent estate. Would love to return, perhaps in a different season. Thank you.

A gorgeous property with loads of space and comfort. The owners are so kind, very friendly and helpful. The house is in excellent condition and well equipped and is situated in the middle of a lovely estate. You can sit on the terrace or by the lake and watch the wildlife pass you bye. The house is located in the middle of some beautiful Le Brenne countryside. Plenty of walks or easy cycle rides and birdwatching hides to keep you occupied. Highly recommend this property and will definitely return for another holiday. If you love the countryside, you will love this place.

Le logement et son équipement sont conformes à la description (au détail près du barbecue dont on nous explique à l’arrivée que c’est interdit dans l’Indre ???). En revanche, la promesse d’isolement au milieu de la nature s’est révélée mensongère. Alors que nous avions pris soin de contacter les propriétaires, avant de réserver, pour nous assurer qu’il n’y avait qu’un gite à louer, et donc personne d’autre alentour (réponse affirmative), nous avons eu la déconvenue, outre la présence d’un employé agricole logé à cinquante mètres, qu’une famille de 4 personnes s’installe 48 heures après notre arrivée dans une partie mitoyenne du logement… Séparés de ces occupants inattendus par une simple porte intérieure, nous nous retrouvions avec les « joies » de la vie en collectivité à laquelle nous avions justement voulu échapper le temps d’un séjour au fond des bois. Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons eu deux jours d’affilée une pelle mécanique à l’œuvre au fond du jardin (pour curer un étang du domaine). Décevant au point que nous avons du écourter notre séjour.

La maison est vaste, impeccable et bien équipée, au sein d'une propriété élégante; les espaces naturels autours sont grandioses (les prés, les bois, les étangs) et la faune se laisse observer à loisir. La paix et la tranquillité qui se dégagent nous ont réjouis. Nous avons découvert le parc naturel régional de la Brenne par hasard, et avons adoré notre séjour ! Nous remercions Françoise et son mari pour leur accueil efficace, chaleureux et discret, et leur énergie pour faire vivre cette belle région qui le vaut bien !

Merci aux propriétaires de ce gite. Pour leur accueil pour leur sympathie pour leur attention le tout accompagné de petits gestes simples dans une ambiance famille respectueuse de notre indépendance. Lieu idéal pour les amoureux de la nature. Les images de l étang des poissons des oiseaux des biches du renard de la belette ont bien vite remplacées nos écrans de télé téléphone et autre ordinateur. Idéal pour notre petit fils de cinq ans qui semble ravi de son séjour. Le gite confortable et bien équipé est très bien situé pour découvrir la Brenne région de France peu connue qui incitera vos amis a votre retour a vous demander ( C`EST OU LA BRENNE ???? ). Adresse a recommander et surtout a ne pas oublier.

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour. La maison est entièrement équipée. Tous les alentours sont très bien entretenus, et le séjour a la vue sur les étangs. Il est très agréable de pouvoir partir à vélo directement de la maison sur les chemins pour découvrir une très belle région qui se prête à la randonnée.

Nous avons passé le week end de l'ascension dans cette maison. Que dire? C'était tout simplement fabuleux. Une maison au calme, pas un bruit si ce n'est celui des oiseaux, canards,...une étendue immense derrière la maison où nous avons pu apprécier de prendre nos repas à l’extérieur ou bien de profiter tout simplement des transats mis à disposition avec vue sur l'étang. La maison est parfaite pour 4 personnes, très propre, tout le matériel électro ménager high tech, rien ne manque. La literie est excellente et les draps de linge et serviettes sont fournies. Des vélos sont mis à disposition gratuitement des enfants aux parents et vous pouvez vous balader sur des chemins de foret sans voiture et à l'ombre, donc absolument sans danger pour les enfants. Nous ne sommes pas beaucoup sortis finalement dans la région tellement nous y étions bien. Quelques supérettes à quelques km. Une petite ville sympa où se déroulait la semaine nature, Le Blanc où nous avons pu acheter des produits bio. La propriétaire mme Aubrun est absolument charmante, elle n'habite pas sur place mais se rend tous les jours au gite. Nous avions droit tous les jours à nos oeufs frais des poules élevées en plein air à quelques mètres de la maison. Allez y les yeux fermés si vous souhaitez quitter la folie citadine, passer quelques jours au calme dans un lieu superbe. Aucun regret sauf celui de ne pas être restés plus longtemps. Toute la famille était aux anges. Merci MMe Aubrun. Au plaisir peut-être de vous revoir. La famille Bader.

Si vous aimez la nature préservée, les balades à vélos/à pied sur des sols plats, la flore, le calme, la visite du patrimoine local, châteaux, musées, les baignades dans de petites rivières ou lacs aménagés, l'observation de la faune, Si vous détestez le tourisme de masse, l'odeur de la crème à bronzer, les shorts colorés et claquettes, louer sans crainte ce gite de grande classe où tout a été prévu pour votre confort dans les moindres détails. L'intérieur a été refait à neuf et tout l'aménagement et l'équipement sont de grande qualité Les propriétaires chaleureux sont très réactifs et à l'écoute de vos besoins. Vous serez au milieu d'un espace boisé de 200 ha avec vue directe sur plusieurs étangs privés. Vous observerez de votre fenêtre les aigrettes blanches, canards sauvages et carpes bondissantes. Un prix de location bien placé Nous étions un coupe d'adulte et un enfant de 14 ans et sommes restés 9 jours. Nous recommandons vivement.

Location tres bien équipée , il y a absolument tout , et tres relaxante (silence garanti!) , propriètaire très accueillante et qui se met en quatre pour nous satisfaire , possibilté de baldes à pied , en vélo , etc.. location très propre et tres bien décorée , avec équipement très moderne , internet fonctionnant très bien aussi . Visites dans et autour du parc de la Brenne très pratiques à partir du gite ! Très bon séjour !
