whole property was great. very well equipped. nothing forgotten property owners very nice very helpful. some home baked cakes and a large loaf plus homemade jam were there for us when we arrived. we were let down by some cool weather. we found there was not a lot to do or see in the area. better weather would have made this gite perfect.

Really lovely gite, very comfortable and clean. Huge enclosed garden for the dogs to enjoy and a fantastic swimming pool us to enjoy. Lots to see in the surrounding area, will look to return. Highly recommended.

Wonderful relaxing stay!

Our 3 children aged 4, 6 and 8 and ourselves had a fantastic half term break staying in this beautiful gite situated in the town of Ligueil. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and clean and the swimming pool was a massive hit with us all. We were very fortunate to have great weather but the cover makes the pool an even bigger attraction as there is no risk of the kids being bored even on rainy days! There are plenty of local markets and towns to visit, with Loches wednesday market being a favourite of ours! The town of Ligueil and supermarket is within walking distance although with 3 children, parking up to get supplies was much easier! Our French hosts were lovely with check in and check out being an easy, smooth process. Cakes and homemade bread was even waiting for us on our arrival! If you are after a relaxing break in the beautiful french countryside then you cannot go wrong with this gite and im sure we will look to book again in the future.

Hosts were very welcoming on arrival, easy to find location and as described, extremely peaceful, tranquil setting. As we stayed in Feb the fire was already lit which was a lovely feature that we used during our stay. The garden was great, the kids loved running around the space and playing on the swings. The house was perfectly clean and cosy with plenty of room for a family of 4 and I can imagine that, in the summer, the outdoor space would be amazing with the pool and bbq available. We'd definitely stay here again.

I can’t thank Chantal and Thierry enough for our wonderful stay .. the property is just beautiful with a fantastic garden (large, enclosed, secluded, with table tennis table, bbq, shaded seating area ... plus patio) and a BRILLIANT pool that can be used weather it’s hot or overcast outside. The house is lovely with everything you could need and is clean and comfortable. We arrived to fresh, homemade bread and cakes and Chantal and Thierry were completely invisible unless we asked any questions at which point they’d turn immediately to be super helpful. We took our 2.5yr old and 2 dogs and had a really great time. We will DEFINITELY be back!! Merci, merci, merci!

We stayed for 10 nights in September for a relaxing holiday with our Son. Chantal & Thierry were very welcoming even though we had got stuck in traffic through Paris & arrived much later than planned.The gite is absolutely perfect & very comfortable, it felt like home for 10 nights. The pool was better than we ever could have imagined, even on slightly chillier days it was very warm & lovely to use. Our son is only 3 and we were able to find lots to do in the area, we would recommend the Grande Aquarium and the safari train, both were fab! Thank you Chantal & Thierry, we had the most relaxing holiday!

This is the second year we have stayed at this fantastic Gite. The location is rural and very quiet with everything that you need in a holiday that is away from it all. Relax by the wonderful pool (30 degrees) or go for a walk across the fields to the local village. Great patio to have your meals outside with electric canopy. Hosts that are very helpful and not at all intrusive and let you get on with your holiday. Thank you and hope to visit again!

Wonderful wonderful oasis of peace and charm

We stayed here August 2017 with our two little boys (5 and 6) and black Labrador dog. The week was one of the best we have ever had on holiday. If you like a peaceful, rural and laid back holiday - this is it! From the start Thierry and Chantal were the most warm, welcoming but unobtrusive hosts ever. From the welcoming gift of freshly baked brioche and bread, to the swapped vegetables (we both have smallholdings) and wine during the week, to the evening our boys rode on their Shetland pony, they were such lovely people. Then we enjoyed the table tennis, boules, cricket matches in the garden and of course the pool - warm with the roof on overcast days and sunny days retractable - warm at 32c so the boys swam morning to dusk. There is a footpath across the fields into Ligueil village, with wildflowers we picked on the verge, with lunches in the various restaurants and as the boys are small, that's about all we did. Lots to see around - we visted a wine grower in Chinon Thierry recommended, again an eccentric set up and warm welcome. Thank you Thierry and Chantal for a wonderful little holiday and all your warmth and humour in the week. See you next year!

Superb Gite

We really enjoyed our stay in Ligueil, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable and totally private. The garden fantastic, Molly, our Springer Spaniel, thought it was absolutely fabulous. The pool was marvellous, particularly as the weather was so good; though the fact that it was both heated and covered meant we would still have enjoyed it if the weather had been cold and wet (the cover is easy to open and close according to the weather). We had a very warm welcome from our hosts, Chantal & Thierry, which included some delicious home baking and they were always helpful and very friendly. There are many lovely places to visit within reasonable driving distance and plenty of local food and wine to enjoy. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and home to return soon.

Just perfect

Just perfect

This was our second holiday in this beautiful gite in Ligueil and we will be back again and again. Our hosts Chantal and Thierry are just wonderful, warm and welcoming. We travelled with a lady who is 80 years old and she absolutely loved it and being able to swim in a pool all by herself was wonderful for her. We brought our two golden retrievers and they had a great time running and playing in the completely enclosed garden. Everything you could possibly need or wish for is here. The retractable awning that extends over the patio means you can still have your meals outside even if it is raining. The only sound you can hear is birdsong. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and when the sunflowers are in bloom, it must be a sight to behold. The pool is accessed by a gate so anybody with young children need have no worries about safety. Ligueil is very well placed for visiting the many beautiful villages in the surrounding area. A visit to Clos Luce is a must as is the beautiful village of Chedigny. Cannot recommend highly enough. A real gem.

Séjour au top, à 5 avec 1 petite puce et 2 grands chiens (à noter qu’il y a un chemin de balade jusqu’à la ville et que le gîte est parfaitement bien clôturé) Superbe propriété. La piscine est réellement chauffée. Il y a maintenant un store électrique sur la terrasse. (Rapport à la photo de l’annonce) Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et très serviables. Bref vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !
