Ardennen Camping Bertrix

We booked a week here on a last minute whim as we he have a terminally ill relative and we were unsure whether they would be stable enough for us to leave them for a week. From the moment we stepped into our mobile home, we were blown away by how clean and pristine it was. In previous years, we have stayed with the big chain holiday parcs and the hygiene and condition of their mobile homes always disappointed us; so much so that I would always have to clean our accommodation prior to unloading our belongings. This was not the case here. Our mobile home was located very close to the pool and bar which we really appreciated as a family. The bar had an extensive list of high quality beers, which I was delighted with as a beer enthusiast; after a week's stay, I still didn't manage to try them all. The laundry room had enough washers and driers that meant no long queues or 'guarding' a machine to ensure that you could wash your laundry; a problem our family as encountered again and again at all other holiday parcs. The site is within walking distance of the town, which means if you fancy a change of scene, without driving so you can have a relaxing drink at a bar, it can be done. Finally, the staff, they are fantastic, they are accommodating, multi lingual and attentive. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

To hot inside to the cabin, during the day

The camping is big and has a lot of fun stuff for the kids - pool, playgrounds, forest path, courts and field for tennis/football, trampoline. The mobile home was comfortable - two bedrooms, the bed sheets (additional price) were neat and the beds were comfortable. There is a fridge and gas stove, microwave and sufficient cutlery. The shower was okey. It’s a camping so for not very experienced camping people this was a good option. There is on site restaurant and friterie with ice cream.

You need to bring everything to feel some comfort - salt, pepper, table cloth, good knives, olive oil, toilet paper, liquid dish detergent, soap and shampoo, which of course is standard but it’s a lot to think about. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Still no major red flags. Recommend for families.

Wifi signaal was very poor in de rooms. I had to sit in one place otherwise no signaal. Shower time - warm water aas not even for 5 min with 4 people we had to wait long time to warm it up so somone else. An shower. For those reasons i will not come back. Kids loved it though. Big playground and woods around. City centre nice snack bar with two older ladys . They speak no english but we managed to. Very friendly recommended
