if you need a big house at a beautiful scenery, and you like to walk,it's simply perfect!

no breakfast served, we hired a big house with 5000m2 garden, because we took 2 big dogs. The location was superb, next to the Semois river, a friendly pub nearby with local beers, and most of all, plenty walking tours. The beautiful Abbey of Orval @ 15kms;

a better fence around the garden, because our dogs ended up regularly with the neighbours, because the youngest (a Hubertus from 1,5 yrs loves to play with other dogs), but this is pretty personal off course

The house is wonderfully located in a nice garden next to the Semois, the rooms are spacious and luminous and the wood-burning stoves are perfect for the season, for heating as much as the atmosphere. We had a great time cosying and reading between walks and everything we needed was provided.

De locatie, de rust, de opzet, fantastisch!

Het is niet dat er iets niet beviel maar de bank beneden is wel aan vervanging toe…verder heerlijk allemaal!

De gezelligheid van het huis, de ligging en de stilte van de omgeving , de mogelijkheden tot uitstappen maken en te wandelen . Spijtig dat er niet kan gehuurd worden in juli en augustus.

een paar kleine opmerkingen : poetsdienst zou nog wel grondiger mogen poetsen (stofvlokken , spinnenwebben, vuile afwasmachine (de randen en het binnenste ) en er was iets mis met de dampkap . Misschien een kleine tip ook nog : een badmatje voorzien in de doucheruimte met toilet en lavabo beneden , want het is er niet zo warm en koude vloertegels dan om op te staan na het douchen .

Rust, kalmte en schoonheid ervaren met een schitterend verblijf!

De locatie heeft nog weinig geheimen voor ons, maar toch blijft ze boeiend. Herfst in de Gaume is een belevenis! Het weer speelt ook een rol en hier werden we geholpen door de elementen: zonnig en zacht en in de ochtend een zachte nevel over de Semois. Wandelen doe je gewoon in de buurt, daarna gezellig bij de houtkachel en eten in de lichte en charmante eetkamer. Meerdere slaap- en badkamers vervolledigen het mooie plaatje,

daar hadden we al meerdere keren over nagedacht. Helaas, alles viel mee.

Fijne week gehad. Genoten van de tuin, rivier (zo ook de hond). Mooie wandelingen gemaakt.

Mooi huis. Tuin aan de rivier is fantastisch. Leuke omgeving. Via de voetgangersbrug direct veel wandelmogelijkheden. Zeker een aanrader.

Living op zich prima, wel jammer van de dekens op de banken. Wifi wel zwak. Er wordt gewerkt aan verbeteringen van het huis. Tafel en stoelen onder de veranda zijn wel bijna aan vervanging toe.

Voor de 3de keer in dit prachtige huis was ons verblijf met onze kinderen en kleinkinderen supergeslaagd.Bedankt. Tip :

De ligging, het mooie huis,de propere comfortabele matrassen, de mooie badkamers.

Eventuele verbeteringen: iets comfortabele zetels binnen; en een extra frigo.(in de zomer eten en drank voor 7 personen krijg je er niet in.)

Un havre de paix au plus proche de la forêt

Nous sommes fans de la Riverside House et de Chiny. La maison est très agréable et spacieuse, propreté et confort, cadre verdoyant magnifique, le chant des oiseaux, à 50m du départ de nombreuses balades dans la forêt et des balades en kayak. Plusieurs terrasses qui ont chacune leur point fort. BBQ pour les beaux jours. Une pépite pour notre famille.
