About this apartment rental
Lovely 1st floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, apartment with air con (hot & cold), shared pools and beautiful gardens, within secure complex in idyllic setting . Large, sunny, west-facing terrace with breathtaking views, perfect for al fresco dining. 2 mins walk from a beautiful cove and sandy beach. 5 min walk to 2 fantastic restaurants, a lovely tapas bar & a super local shop selling fresh bread and cakes etc. This amazing location is perfect for families, couples or golfers. 10-15 minute walk or 2 mins drive to the busier resort with its numerous restaurants, supermarkets, shops, bars, and 3 large beaches. The complex is gated, with communal gardens, a pool with separated children’s pool, loungers & parasols, & an allocated parking space. Non-smoking. No pets. The apartment is less than half an hour drive from the airport, and is perfectly situated to explore this beautiful island. To avoid confusion, the photo shows the beach which is less than 5 minute walk. Our apartment does not overlook the beach and does not have a sea view.

Beautiful shared gardens, an adult and separate children's pool, with loungers & parasols. Pools maintained daily. Shower and toilet facilities adjoin the pools. Allocated parking space.
Walk 3 minutes round the corner to beautiful small, shingly cove. 5 min walk to sandy beach,, loungers, shades & beach kiosk, pine trees - across road from a lovely cafe terrace.. 10 min walk/2 min drive to 3 larger sandy beaches of Peguera. 5 mins drive to beach and restaurant on the jetty at Camp De Mar. 15 mins stroll through forest to small secluded stony cove of Cala d'es Monjo. 10 mins drive to upmarket yachting resorts Port d'Andratx & Puerto Portals. Most beaches Blue Flag.
The apartment is in a pretty village.. This is a beautiful, peaceful area, yet with everything you need close at hand. Restaurants, a tapas bar, a shop, and the beach are all just a 5 minute walk from our lovely apartment. This location is truly perfect, particularly for families with children, hence our decision to buy here!
As well as the beautiful beach and pool, there are many activities in the area, from walking, swimming, water sports, cylcing, golfing, tennis, water parks, marinas, to exploring the magnificent city of Palma, just a 15-20 minute drive.
The island of Mallorca really does provide 'something for everyone'. The areas is perfectly located for walking, cycling (hire available in Peguera), snorkelling, diving (lots of local clubs), sailing, water sports, golfing, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings, restaurants and boutiques! With hot & cold air conditioning, this apartment is perfect for year-round holidays.
Although a couple of the restaurants & the 2 hotels in Cala Fornells itself close usually November & December, there are lots of restaurants, cafes and of course the supermarkets open all year in Peguera, Port Andrtax and the lovely city of Palma, as there are still many visitors to our area through the traditionally quieter seasons, and it is our favourite time of year to visit, when it is possible to see the real Mallorca.
Travel: Although not essential, a car is recommended if you wish to venture further afield - we usually use car jet. Frequent and numerous buses run from Peguera east to Santa Ponsa, Palma Nova and Palma and west to Camp De Mar, Port Andratx. Bus stop c. 10 min walk.
Long term renters. The whole area around Cala Fornells including within the apartment complex is fairly hilly so not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties.

We had a fantastic holiday in Cala Fornells, the apartment is situated in a beautiful location with easy access to beaches and shops.We used the pool extensively and despite travelling in mid August there was always spare sun beds and room to dive, swim and have fun in the water.The apartment is situated in a quiet location perfect for families with the option of a short walk into a bigger resort when needed. We didn’t hire a car but this may be needed if you don’t like using public transport to get to neighbouring resorts including Santa Ponça, Port Andrtrax and Sant Elm. Alison was the perfect host from the initial booking throughout our stay and we would definetly return.Thanks for a great holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at Las Olas 2. The apartment is really well equipped with everything you need and maintained to a high standard. We loved the location with the beach, shops and restaurants all within walking distance but loads more on offer a short drive away too. The pool was great and even during the school holiday never felt really busy. We definitely hope to return in the future!

Myself, my mother and my 3 year old had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Cala Fornells. The apartment is nice and spacious with lovely large balcony which was nice to sit on, especially in the evening. It had everything you would need for your stay. The pool was clean and the complex itself was very quiet (beginning of June). The complex itself as well as the area is pretty hilly so come prepared for that!Surrounding area is beautiful, with gorgeous cove 5 mins walk down the road and another small beach 5 mins further on. We didn’t have a car but was fine for us. A few good restaurants in walking distance and Lidl only 10 min walk (go out the back gate). A lovely 15min walk along the road hugging the coast to the little Cala fornells shop which is well stocked. Alison was so helpful and gave us a huge amount of information about getting into the property, the apartment and the surrounding area. Overall, a wonderful stay, would recommend the apartment.

I have spent quite some time thinking of how to put into words my review of this apartment. Cauce I don’t want to be rude, but I also need to give my honest feedback.
The positive things first:
The dialogue with the owner Allison was great. She answered my inquiries promptly and sent lots of information about how to work the appliances in apartment, the surrondings of Cala Fornell and a lot of great tips of restaurants and places to visit.
The area and the surrondings was lovely. Cala Fornells is a lovely bay for a sunbath, take a swim and eat a great lunch at one of the hotells.
The beds in the apartment are comfortable, the terrace has a good size and there is plenty of kitchen items.
What we didn’t enjoy so much was the apartment itself. No doubt that it had been cleaned prior to our arrival, but it needs a major cleaning.
The tiles and the joints between needs to be washed properly. There are stains on the walls in all the rooms, the curtains are dirty and there are holes in them.
The cushions on the chairs on the terrace have multible stains.
The interior deviates some from the pictures in the ad, it looked more cosy than it turned out to be.
There drinking glasses are discoloured, and there are not many alike.
Summary:
I understand if my negative comments may seem petty to some, but at the price we paid for a week I expected a higher standard then we think we got.
