Modern Apartment Calçada São Francisco II

The location was excellent, and the apartment was very comfortable for our group of four adults and a toddler. We truly enjoyed our stay. It’s within easy walking distance of many of the sites we wanted to visit, with convenient access to public transport for exploring further afield. The surrounding area is full of great coffee shops and restaurants, which made it even more enjoyable. Having trams running right outside the front door added to the authentic, lively feel of Lisbon, immersing us in its charm. At the same time, the apartment itself was calm, relaxing, and peaceful (an ideal retreat after a day of sightseeing).

Though not strictly related to the property per se, parking was a challenge in the area and it would have been great to be offered options ahead of our arrival to plan better. Regardless, we managed to find a parking for our whole stay at a decent price.

The location is absolutely fantastic, extremely close to the city center and within walking distance of major attractions. Tram 28 passes right by the apartment and although it was mentioned that it could be noisy, we honestly didn’t find it disturbing at all. On the contrary, our children were thrilled and kept waiting by the window to see the tram go by 😊 The apartment itself is very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you might need. Having two fully equipped bathrooms, each with a hair dryer, was a big plus for us. The kitchen has all the essentials for preparing meals, which made our stay very convenient. We stayed in January, and the first day was a bit chilly (which is quite common in Lisbon apartments during winter, even though every room has air conditioning). As soon as we mentioned this to the host, they immediately brought two brand new heaters, which solved the issue right away. Excellent and fast response - truly appreciated. Overall, the apartment is perfect for families with children, offering comfort, space, and a great location.

Heating was a bit insufficient at first, but this was resolved promptly on the first day, so credit to the host for that. It would also be helpful to have a few more dishwasher capsules, especially for longer stays - we stayed six nights and didn’t quite have enough and buying a large pack wasn’t very practical. Additionally, the toilet seats could benefit from being replaced. Despite these small points, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily return to the same apartment. Highly recommended.
