About this cottage rental
Country house with private pool is rented in menorca for weeks with capacity for 8 people. located in a very quiet area near mahón and south coast beaches such as binibeca, punta prima, binisafuller. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all on the ground floor (above is closed). It has a living room with satellite TV, kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room with washing machine, living room and hall. It has closets in all the rooms and in one of marriage it has a safe.
Outside there is a patio with table and umbrella and a barbecue. the pool of 8 x 4 m. It has a terrace with sun loungers and umbrella surrounded by typical woodland. It has ample car parking. The house is delivered with sheets and towels and there is the possibility of house cleaning, towels and sheets once a week on demand for stays longer than one week.

The entrance to the house is from 2pm. and the departure at 10 h.

Francisco's house is set back from a road that is a 20 minute walk into Mahon and only 15 minutes away from the airport by car. It is very quiet and private, clean, spacious and charming. There are no restaurants within a very short walk so be prepared to hire a car, use taxis or walk 20 -30 minutes into town to find a restaurant.Francisco is a friendly, helpful host and responded quickly to any queries we had.

Beautiful old quirky property, with loads of inside & outside space. Beautiful pool. Scrupulously clean. If you want mod-cons, this isn’t the place for you . But if you want a charming characterful private space within 30 minutes walking distance of Mahón, this is the one. Francisco was an utterly charming host, and we managed to communicate with some (very limited ) Spanish & some miming, making check in and out a delight. The traditional internal layout of the bedrooms could be a challenge for a group of 8, but perfect for up to 7.

We had a wonderful stay at Santa Magdalena with our two young children. The location is perfect - incredibly private but right on the edge of Mahon and walkable into the center of town. There are beautiful beaches less than a 15 minute drive away and lots of shops etc within a few minutes’ drive. The well maintained pool provided endless hours of fun for our family. Francisco is lovely and very responsive, replying to queries straight away and even heading out to buy a replacement coffee machine the same morning we mentioned the one in the villa was broken. Worth mentioning for anyone travelling with a family that the villa is light on accessories - no books, games, toys or pool equipment - so best to pack plenty of your own or plan to buy some at the Aldi nearby. We had a constant battle with ants in the kitchen. I’m told that’s true of a lot of homes in Menorca this time of year, especially those that are older and more rural, but a bit of sealing around the kitchen window might help. That said, it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the house and our holiday. We will definitely be back for another stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. The location is fantastic… about a 25 minute walk from the centre of Mahon so peaceful but very close to amenities.
Villa has a rustic charm… the pool is clean and very welcome after a morning stroll into the centre.
The only recomendation I would make is if the host could leave a little welcome basket, some salt and pepper and hand soap would be fab!
