elegant and comfortable first floor apartment, lake view, located in one of the most beautiful areas of Desenzano. About ten minutes on foot you can reach both the railway station and the bus terminal or the historic center, with the possibility of boarding ferries. The residence has a large common green area, a large swimming pool and a small one supervised by a lifeguard. the apartment consists of an open plan lounge-kitchen with terrace where you can have lunch overlooking the lake, a double bedroom with balcony overlooking the pool and a second three-bedded room, two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath tub. The sleeping area is equipped with air conditioning. On the ground floor there is a laundry room and garage. There is also a large and convenient parking outside.

Wonderful. Gio is the most amazing host. Such a lovely lady. She met us at the train station and gave us a lift and followed that up with a lift to the supermarket as well. Her home is fantastic and has everything you need. The beds are so comfortable and it is nice and spacious. WiFi is great with teens. Pool is also great - 2.3m deep in the big bit. I used Gios washing machine a fair bit which is very helpful too. It's only 10 minutes walk ( and flat) to the train station and you can get buses from there too ( the Sirmione bus is 26. - opposite side of the road to the train station) if you want to go into Desenzano for town or for ferry it is about 20 minutes walk. It is a substantial hill so you need to brace yourself on the way back for the last bit! We enjoyed taking different routes every time and checking out all the architecture. Overall I am so pleased I found Gios house and I totally recommend it.

We had a wonderful holiday at Lake Garda. It is so beautiful with lovely trips on the lake and walking round the area. The apartment suited us very well. It is very clean and well cared for and definitely the best equipped home we have stayed in which helped to make the holiday stress free. The only thing to be aware of is that it is hilly - the walk back up from a meal out was fine for us but something to be aware of if you’re holidaying without a car.

Very convenient location within a mile or less of town, grocery store and train station. Very walkable to all (there is a bit of a hill coming back from town but my 92 year old father managed fine). The unit itself is exactly as depicted in photos. The complex and lake views are gorgeous. By far the best thing about the property, however, is the owner, Giovanna. She was always available to answer any questions or address any issues that came up. She takes great pride in her home and goes out of her way to make sure that your stay is the best it can be!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Lake Garda is beautiful. There were some problems with with some of the electronics but were addressed quickly by Luca, our downstairs neighbor. Luca was wonderful.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful property which had everything we needed - a real home from home. The location is excellent for visiting the towns and sites of Lake Garda, as well as the cities of Milan, Verona and Venice (easily accessed by train). Giovanna's recommendations of places to eat and visit helped us find some little gems that we would have otherwise missed - what a generous and thoughtful hostess! The pool is so lovely and being in a residential community it is often empty. The food and wine welcome gift was appreciated. So much to do.....we will definitely be going back!

We stayed as a family of 4 for 2 weeks in August 2019. From start to finish Giovanna was so kind & so friendly. She checked in with us everyday & even brought us to the supermarket for supplies. The Apartment is 13 minutes walk to the Center of town with many beautiful restaurants & cafe bars. Would highly recommend 5 star.

The apartment is extremely comfortable, fully equippped, very clean and was really spacious for the two of us. The swimming pool is fantastic and was an added bonus - it is immaculately clean and was never busy during our stay. Perfect for a quick dip or relaxing in the sun on the private sun beds.The owner, Giovanna, is absolutely lovely and couldnt do enough to help us. She helped with directions to the apartment, looking out for us on arrival and was full of useful information about the area and provided lots of great recommendations. We had regular contact with Giovanna throughout our stay and she took a genuine interest in what we were up to. Some supplies were also provided including coffee and prosecco which were much appreciated!The apartment is in a great location, the train station is 5 mins walk and the town centre is a 15 mins walk. Desenzano itself is a fabulous buzzing town and great for people watching. We found lots of lovely restaurants and bars, our favourite being the Il Tagliere wine bar and Corte Pozzi restaurant, both part of Hotel Alessi. We visited the many beautiful towns round the lake and also took the fast train to Venice. Verona is also a short drive away and the open air opera was an amazing experience.Overall this is one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in, we loved it from the moment we stepped in the front door. It felt like a second home and we were genuinely sad to leave. We will definitely be back and couldnt recommend it highly enough!

Upon our arrival Giovanna greeted us warmly as if we were family or old friends.She made us feel immediately welcome and at home and took the time to show us all the features of the apartment and pool area, as well as giving us lots of useful tips on places to go and things to do. She also left us a welcome pack and the Prosecco was a lovely touch, though the kids were probably more excited by the Nutella!As others have said, the apartment is bigger than the pictures indicate and is spotlessly clean and very well equipped (lovely soft bath towels, beach towels, bed linen etc.) as well as kitchen basics like salt, pepper, coffee and olive oil. We got regular updates on WhatsApp from Giovanna, and she was on call if needed, and was genuinely interested in how our holiday was going.The pool is large, clean and attended by a lifeguard. It is a mainly residential complex, so it’s very quiet in the mornings, a little busier in the afternoon and again at weekends. The sun loungers are allocated to each apartment so you can come and go as you please.There is a decent sized kitchen for cooking with all the utensils you’d need. The main terrace is perfect for eating, as it never gets the sun directly but is warm and pleasant with a view to the lake and mountains. A second terrace overlooks the pool and is nice to sit on in the evenings when the sun goes down. The beds are very comfortable, and the main bathroom is large with a good shower.The area itself is lovely and quiet – a 10 min walk to train station, 10 min to a nice park with a great playground for kids & a café, 15 mins (downhill) into Desenzano. The town itself is fabulous with lots of shops and restaurants, a market on Tuesday, and White Night on Wednesday nights, when shops open late and there is live music in the square and a lively buzz in the town.There are a few nice pebbly beaches where you can hire loungers and pedal boats to go out on the lake. It has a long boardwalk all along the shore for anybody who likes to run or walk – especially early in the morning when it is quiet and breezy.The other towns around the lake are easily accessible by ferry and neighbouring Sirmione is only a 20 minute journey away. Venice was well worth a 90 min train trip.Overall it was a wonderful place to visit and Giovanna’s warmth and friendliness makes it a really great place to stay

From we first contacted Giovanna it was all very easy. We arrived at her apartment mid July for a week and she was there to meet us. She greeted us like old friends and gave us plenty of information about the local area. She also left a welcome pack to get us started. The apartment is fantastic. It has a large kitchen-diner living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. It also has 3 balconies, 1 with a great view of the lake and the other 2 look over the swimming pool. The swimming pool is brilliant. About one third of the main pool is 1M deep which worked really well for my 2 girls, I think the pool was a highlight for them. A big plus was having a lifeguard there all day. Desenzano is about a 15 minute walk and the train station is about 5 minutes. Venice and Verona are definitely worth a visit. Our week in Giovanna's was a dream as was meeting her, I hope our paths cross again! Ciao

This is a very nice and well equipped apartment in a quiet area about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Desenzano- everything you could possibly need is provided. The pool is fabulous- large and never hugely busy even at the height of the season- two very comfortable sun loungers and two reclining chairs and a really effective sunshade are provided and have their own place by the pool. There are more in the garage. Giovanna, the owner, is extremely welcoming and hospitable, and very helpful, providing lots of advice, information and practical help as well as a lovely welcome. A great choice for a holiday on Lake Garda.

Wonderful vacation! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of mother and father with two daughters, were greeted by Giovanna in the best of ways when we arrived! The apartment and its residence were perfect for us; big and copius apartment, quiet neighborhood, large swimmingpool and short distance to city centre. Had a fantastic week in La Casa di Gio at the beginning of July. From the very start all communication with Giovanna (owner) was very easy. She gave us a welcome like long lost family when we arrived (even put a greeting to us all on her door !). We have stayed in a few rentals but never got a welcome like this. She showed us around the property, gave us loads of travel tips, places top visit, restaurants etc. She also had a very good information booklet on the property and lots of tourist information. The apartment is very spacious - two good size bedrooms, a huge kitchen / living area, 2 bathrooms and 3 balconies. There is every cooking utensil under the sun. Giovanna also left us a lovely welcome pack. The apartment also has a fabulous pool complete with life guard ! Its a 10/15 min walk into Desenzano which is a lively town particularly at the weekend and on Wed when they have a white night with lots of bands and live music. Its a great base to travel around Lake Garda - we took the boat to Sirmione, cable car to Monte Baldo and Verona as well as lake side beach trips. Thoroughly recommend this property and Desenzano

In our experience, the flattering on-line photographs of holiday homes do not often truly reflect the reality, which is sometimes a disappointment. In the case of La Casa di Gio - the opposite is true - you have to visit to find out how gorgeous it really is. It has a loved and long cherished feel with every wall and surface displaying lovely art and beautiful ornaments, and is so well equipped with every cupboard full of all you could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. On top of all this the views of the lake from the balconies are lovely and the pool is stunning - clean, exclusive, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, your own sun beds, umbrella and even a life guard! Meeting Giovanna was a highlight of our holiday, she was so welcoming, charming and helpful, and it wasn't a surprise that the apartment had a delightful homely feel which she worked hard to provide. We found lots to do locally with our 2 children, and the town of Desenzano was very attractive and not too busy or touristy. Giovanna recommended some good local restaurants and the cities of Bergamo and Verona are both an hours drive away and are glorious. Thank you Giovanna, we hope to return in the future.

On arrival my wife and I were met by Giovanna (the owner) and her daughter Elena. They showed us the features of the apartment and where to shop locally.....the kindest reception we have had in all our travels. The apartment was as described and has virtually everything you need for a self catering holiday. It is located a 15 minute walk downhill to the lake and it's many restaurants. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station where you can get to Verona and Venice (which we did) We really enjoyed ourselves and it is clear Giovanna wants her guests to have a good experience by the effort she makes to see this happens.

We had two wonderful weeks in the house in Desenzano. The apartement is well equipped, very nice and clean. We didn't miss anything and it felt like home. We loved sitting on the balcony and swimming in the pool which is awesome. There weren't many people, so it was always quiet, especially in the morning and evening. We had a lot of towels for the two bathrooms and the four sun loungers . When the weather was hot the air conditioning was very helpful to sleep well at night. It was practical to have a garage and a washing machine. Nearby the house (10-15 minutes by foot) is a small supermarket (Conad) where we could buy anything we wanted. You only need 5 minutes by car to a big supermarket (esselunga) in Desenzano. We liked this small city and the surrounding area very much. We made lots of nice trips to interesting places at the eastern coast of Garda Lake and on the mountains but also to Verona and Venice. Giovanna is a very kind person. Every day she gave us helpful advices. She greeted us very warm hearted and said goodbye personally. We would love to rent her appartement and visit Desenzano and Garda Lake a second time. Eine sehr gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, mit allem was man so brauch.Sehr herzliche Vermieterin. Es gab sogar eine Willkommensüberraschung. Man brauch zu Fuß ca. 15 min bis ins Zentrum von Desenzano. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und sehr gut zu nutzen.

Bien entendu il y a le logement, très spacieux, bien agencé, bien équipé, très propre. Evidemment, il y a le cadre extérieur, vue sur le lac, agréable piscine peu fréquentée, région magnifique et accès facile vers les grands poles touristiques de la région (Vérone, Sirmione, Bergame, Venise, Milan,...). Mais surtout, il y a l'accueil, la bienveillance de Giovanna qui met à cœur que votre séjour soit parfait. Cela commence par un panier gourmand avec les spécialités de la région mais ensuite ce sont des conseils et des petits mots plus chaleureux les uns que les autres. Bref, on se sent bien à la casa de Gio. A recommander +++

Auf Grund der bisherigen Bewertungen waren unsere Erwartungen an die Wohnung hoch und unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt sondern noch übertroffen. Tolle Wohnung mit einem Pool in dem man richtig schwimmen kann (Tiefe 1-2,30m Wassertiefe, daneben ein kleiner Pool mit 0,75m. Uns hat es in der Wohnung an nichts gefehlt! Die Kommunikation mit Gio war bereits im Vorfeld sehr gut und jeden Morgen gab es eine WhatsApp- Nachricht mit Empfehlungen für den Tag, Fragen wurden schnell beantwortet. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Urlaub👍

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr rustikal eingerichtet. Die Möbel, Elektrogeräte, Zimmer, Bäder usw. sind sehr gut erhalten und funktionieren tadellos. Man merkt dass die Giovanna sehr viel Herzblut hineingesteckt hat. Am Pool gab es einen Bademeister und die Grünanlage wurde regelmäßig gepflegt. Der Pool war nie überfüllt was sehr angenehm war. Zur Wohnung gehört eine eigene Garage. Man kommt direkt vom Treppenhaus durch eine Tür dahin und es steht dort auch eine Waschmaschine. Giovanna war sehr hilfsbereit und konnte uns sehr viele Tipps geben z.B wo man gut isst, was man besichtigen kann usw. Wir haben es richtig genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Mille Grazie Giovanna

Sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, die keine Wünsche offen ließ. Giovanna war eine perfekte Gastgeberin, die über Whatsapp immer erreichbar war und täglich einen guten Tipp rund um den See für uns hatte (sie spricht sehr gut Englisch). Großer und sehr saberer Pool (mit zwei Liegen und zwei Stühlen) und Garage (groß genug für unseren Tiguan). Strategisch perfekte Lage - zu Fuß nach Desenzano und zum Bahnhof (mit Zugverbindungen nach Verona, Mailand und Venedig ) in 10 Minuten. Sirmione mit seiner malerischen Altstadt haben wir zu Fuß erwandert und sind dann mit dem Schiff wieder zurück. Wir (2 Erwachsene / 2 Kinder ) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Wohnung nur empfehlen.

Sehr toller Empfang durch Giovanna. Sehr schöne Wohnung in ruhiger Lage, tolle Anlage. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene, für die die Wohnung auch sehr gut geeignet ist. Die Ausstattung läst keine Wünsche offen. Giovanna gibt jede Menge Tipps und sollte es einmal Probleme geben, so ist Luca, ein Mitbewohner im Haus sofort zur Stelle. Wir haben uuns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt. Giovanna herzlichen Dank für die schöne Woche.

Nach einem sehr herzlichen Willkommen mit vielen Infos und einer Erstverpflegung durch die Vermieterin Giovanna haben wir uns in der geräumigen Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Giovanna war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sich um alles perfekt gekümmert. Der große Pool war ideal zum Abkühlen, die Garage sogar groß genug für unseren VW Bus. Der Bahnhof ist zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichbar, die Verbindung nach Verona und Mailand meist stündlich. Desenzano ist eine schöne Stadt mit italienischem Charme und interessanten römischen Ausgrabungen. Beste Voraussetzungen für einen gelungenen Urlaub!

Eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung

Wir waren zu 5 und haben uns sehr Wohl gefühlt in Gio`s Haus. Es ist alles ausreichend vorhanden. So ist die Selbstversorgung kein Problem. Giovanna ist eine sehr liebe Gastgeberin.Wir wurden sehr herzlich emfangen und sie hatte Geschenke für uns.Mann fühlt sich gleich wie bei guten Freunden zu Hause. Täglich bekammen wir Informationen von Ihr.Die Wohnung und die gesammte Anlage ist sehr sauber.Der Pool ist super. Es ist eine sehr schöneWohngegend und alles gut zu erreichen. Danke Giovanna !

Urlaub war ganz ok

Die Wohnung war gut.Schön,dass es zwei Duschen gibt.Eine davon ist nix für Dicke,einfach zu eng.Leider gibt es keine normale Kaffeemaschine,wie man es von zu Hause gewöhnt ist.Die Aussenanlage sieht gut aus.Wird auch gepflegt.Wir hatten das Pech,dass ein Tag lang die Gärtner aktiv waren(Motorsense,Rasenmäher,Laubsauger).Ein wunderschöner Pool,sogar mit Aufsicht.Nur leider zu viel Verbote für Kinder.Kein Ball spielen,keine Luftmatratze,nicht laut sein,usw.Und das bei Zwei,höchstens mal Fünf Leuten im Wasser.Vier davon waren wir.Ist halt eine Wohnanlage und keine reine Ferienanlage.Wer mal nach Venedig möchte,sollte den Zug nehmen.Das klappt wunderbar.Bahnhof ist ja gleich in der Nähe (für 4Personen hin und zurück ca.116 Euro ).Allerdings in Venedig für vier Eistee (je 0,25L) 22Euro zu verlangen,das ist schon Abzocke.Wer täglich nach Desenzano runter möchte,sollte gut zu Fuss sein (rund 70 Höhenmeter ),oder den Buss nehmen (Linie 3).In der Stadt selbst war viel los (Markt, Musik usw.)

Wir haben mit vier Personen vom 4.6.2018 bis zum 14.6.2018 eine wunderbare Zeit im Casa di Gio verbracht. Die Beschreibung ist nicht übertrieben. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Geschirr, Gläser, Kochutensilien, Tischwäsche, Handtücher, auch Badetücher, Bettwäsche...sind reichlich und gut vorhanden. Toller Seeblick auf der einen und toller Blick auf den Pool auf der anderen Seite. In ca. 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß am See und im Zentrum. In der Nähe sind einige Supermärkte und Discounter. Desenzano ist eine wunderschöne Stadt. Andere Orte am Gardasee sind leicht zu erreichen. Verona, Venedig oder Mailand bieten sich auch an. Der Bahnhof ist nur ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg von der Wohnung entfernt. Giovanna ist ein Schatz und eine gute Seele! Bereits nach unserer Buchung kamen wir über WhatsApp in Kontakt und ich konnte schon feststellen, wie herzlich sie ist. Bei unserer Ankunft standen Pasta, Tomatensoße, Wein und Kuchen als Geschenk bereit. Giovanna begrüßte uns schon familiär. Sie gab uns während unseres Aufenthaltes gute Tips (Geschäfte, Restaurants, Ausflüge...) Würde am liebsten wieder die Koffer packen.....

Herzliche Begrüßung von Giovanna mit Geschenk.Ruhige grüne Lage mit schönen Aussichten von drei Balkonen. Genug Platz und Utensilien. Garage. Gute Verbindung(zum Bahnhof zu Fuß).Wir 2 Ehepaar wirklich schöne Zeit in dieser Wohnung gebracht. Wir haben absolut nichts zu beschweren.
