Extremely unpleasant experience and hotel management putting guests safety at risk

Unfortunately, the hotel has dilapidated rooms posing guests to health risks.

We booked a 4-night stay (14–18 August 2025) but had to leave after the first night due to serious safety hazards and misrepresentation. Chronology of events: + Check-in (14 August): Immediately noticed multiple problems in the assigned room: Balcony doors could not lock at all → security risk. Electrical sockets were loose and partially detached from the wall, exposing wiring → fire/electrocution hazard. Bathroom in extremely poor and unsanitary condition, far worse than in the listing photos. Beds much shorter than standard, making them unusable for one guest. + 14 August (evening): Reported these issues to hotel management via Booking.com messaging. + 15 August (morning): The hotel replied with dismissive explanations, denying responsibility and claiming the area is “safe,” the mattresses are “legal size,” and sockets can be fixed if guests complain. None of this addressed the fact that the hazards were present before check-in and should not have been assigned to paying guests. + 15 August (14:00): We formally checked out after only one night, returning the keys at reception, and did not use the remaining 3 nights. Despite clear photo and video evidence, the property refused responsibility. Booking.com acknowledged the case but the property has not cooperated. This hotel assigned us a room with serious safety hazards and misleading conditions. Guests should not be exposed to unlocked balcony doors, exposed electrical wiring or unsanitary bathrooms. We strongly advise Booking.com and future guests to be cautious.

The hotel is in a good location, the hotel staff is really nice and helpful and the rooms clean.

The hotel has a good location and it is very close to a nice and clean beach. The staff from the hotel was really nice, helpful, the rooms were very clean and they were doing a daily clean-up and the breakfast is very good.

The hotel is very well maintained and taken care of though it is there for over 30 years. The rooms are decent thanks to the fact the staff really takes care of the facility.

The bed and the breakfast, the location

The bathroom - just arrived, we saw that the shower was broken and ask to be repaired but we spent three nights in this hotel and nobody does anything! In the closest supermarket, the new shower costs 4 euro and I wonder why the host didn’t change it!

Good, but can be better.

Good location, near the beach, not a really good beach but was ok. You can find more better beaches near by this place. The room are clean and have nice balcony. Nice yard, place to have breakfast and play kids.

The room was small for 4 people, the furniture is old, no update, the bathroom must renovate, is old. Breakfast is poor no many opportunities to choose to eat. The wifi is very poor, can't connect, maybe is not their fault because all island have similar problem, some place better some poor wifi.

Superb

Family hotel offer excellent Ratio of price and quality. First impression has been nice clean room with balcony toward pine wood. Room is equiped with net against Mosquitos so good sleep is ensured. Every day we enjoy breakfast seating in the yard in full shadows. Position of the hotel is such that you can reach sea in three different direction. West /150 m from sea. North/ 400m from sea/ and to the east /1km from sea. The friendly hotel owner allowed us to celebrate us birthday.

Maybe the most peacefully area from THASSOS. The hotel situated in Skala Prinou invites you to feel the warm of the wild nature. The hotel has all the facilitaties for a family with kids. The hosts are very kind and ready to guide and help you. I fully recommandes the hotel and the area. Always surprised by beautiful Thassos and its beautiful people...

Atmosfera plăcută, personal amabil, curățenia in cameră se făcea in fiecare zi. Există posibilitatea servirii micului dejun la cerere, in hotel. Foarte aproape de plaja Azurro, dar si altele. Zona liniștită. Paturile foarte confortabile, aer condiționat, TV, terasă mare la fiecare cameră. Camera triplă are un pat mare de 1.60 si altul de 90cm. E perfectă si pentru familie cu 2 copii mici. Hotelul are si spațiu de joaca pentru copii.

Dulapul e ca o debara, nu are rafturi.

Odalar çok küçük ve eski, 2025 yılındaki bir otel için özellikle banyosunun yenilenmesi gerekiyor. Odada ki yatak ve buzdolabı çok eski. Bahçesinde havuz yapılabilecek bir alan var bence bu alan havuz yapılarak misafirlerin otelde zaman geçirmesi sağlanabilir.
