The alternative location was fine, but not what we booked so we were very disappointed

We booked Southover beach, our confirmation stated Southover Beach, however a couple of days before we arrived we were sent a confirmation letter with a different address, so we didn't get easy access to the beach, nor did we get the view we had payed for. Not sure if a mix-up between the owner and Booking.com, but at best it's misleading, at worst it's false advertising.

Fantastic view of Woolacombe beach from lounge as shown in photos

The view of the main beach from the lounge is fantastic. Free parking at front of property. The owners responded very quickly to questions about front door and patio door.

Shower not very powerful. Sofa not very comfortable. Two flights of stairs a little challenging. Front door key confusing on arrival. Patio doors confusing on arrival.

A beautiful apartment, ideal for families .

Great location , parking for 2 cars off road, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, great views. It is a beautiful house - very nicely decorated and comfortable furniture .

The stairs were a bit steep. My son, who has Downs Syndrome, struggled with the outside steps and also the stairs .

Lovely apartment in a perfect location. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and told us what was nearby as it was our first visit to Woolacombe. Our two young black Labrador’s absolutely loved the beach and we would definitely love to visit again.

a last minute booking, location was excellent ,we had the pent house ,was left a bottle of wine and chocolate, bring your own toiletries though ,very clean and everything you need .

Brilliant location, super clean, amazing amenities, great WiFi. Loved it!

We had such as fantastic stay at Southover Beach apartments. We were a group of friends with 12 adults and 9 kids. We were able to choose the different apartments that worked for our group with ease. In a great location so close to the beach making it easy for babies to go for their afternoon naps at different times. We celebrated such a brilliant weekend we a BBQ using the BBQ area and looking over at the amazing views of Woolacombe Beach. Great WiFi too. Tom and Nicki were so helpful right from when we first booked to even helping our friends getting their car started when we left. We will definitely be looking to booking again next year.

Great location but not so great accommodation that shouted cost cutting

The location was fantastic, easy access to the beach and nice views from some of the windows and back garden

Not very well maintained. The lounge carpet exposed the carpet grip, which I cut my foot on and has since caused great discomfort. The kitchen was awaiting repairs on the cabinet doors and the hosts did not provide washing up liquid or sponge, which was an issue with a young family of 4. The hosts only provided 2 toilet rolls for a family of 4 for 5 days. I reported the problem but no compensation offered, just a list of reasons why these issues arose. Expensive for a property and hosts who can could easily make amends but don’t in the name of cost cutting.

I REALLY loved our flat, nice size, full equipped kitchen, a bbq on our the private terrace,Tv, dvd, the amazing view of the garden,everything to drive you to relax properly! And just few steps from the beach and local shops. A solid 10/10.

A lovely family getaway!

We are a family of 5 (3 kids aged 10, 12 and 14). For a family this was the perfect house in terms of layout, location and comfort. The apartment is practically on the beach so you can't get a better location. Great to have free parking with the property. WiFi connection was strong and good to have a smart TV. Communication throughout was really superb. Lovely gesture arriving to a bottle of wine and chocolates! Best thing about it was its location... perfect!

Absolutely stunning location! Perfect for the beach and local restaurants. The apartment was clean and decorated lovely with everything we needed for a week away. Parking was right outside the building and the storage space for our body boards and wetsuits was ideal.

Great location, beautiful views. Tasteful furnishings. Good standard of cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Well stocked kitchen. Welcome bottle of wine is a lovely touch!

Parking spaces a bit awkward with bigger vehicles overflowing into next space. Washing machine rubber needed cleaning but did not use because retaining drum brackets were loose so washed by hand. TV instructions in living room stated HDMI1 but finally managed to get it working on day 2 by selecting HDMI2. French windows needs great effort to open and needed to be open as no fan and temperatures 33C. Gave up the night I arrived after a very long journey and fear of breaking something but managed to get it open next day. My partner could not join me and it would have been a struggle for him to get up and down two flights of stairs as it was hard for me and he has COPD. I have been to Woolacombe 8 times in the past 12 months and all other apartment had a small bottle of milk which is great and much appreciated (for those who do not drink alcohol), perhaps something to consider.
