Nerja: Villa with private pool and garden 300 m from the beach

Lovely old house, very clean & tidy. Kitchen & equipment basic but perfectly adequate (even for keen cooks like us). Barbecue excellent. Large private garden very pretty. Pool a tiny bit murky by the end of our stay but wasn’t a problem. Some furniture in the house old & needed updating (difficult drawers etc but again, not a problem at all). The area is gorgeous, house surrounded by orchards & a 5 min walk from a beautiful beach. Host communicative, friendly & helpful. We would happily revisit.

Property very clean and well kept. Five-minute walk to convenience store or the beach, twenty-five minute walk to Nerja and large grocery store. Very relaxing.

We had a lovely week stay at this villa. It is a fair walk away from Nerja and the last bit of the walk to the villa was a little scary, late at night. The villa would benefit from aircon. Kitchen utensils limited however management were responsive.

The property is very nice and has some stunning features. The outside space was beautiful, the pool was great and frequently used in the very hot weather. However, the lack of basic essentials let’s it down. Sounds picky but there were no large drinking glasses, no tea towels, no plugs to fill the sink, only 1 fan for the 3 bedrooms (as there is no air conditioning) very basic bathroom and hardly any hot water, not great for 5 adults in the heat! We’ve lived and holidayed in Spain for many years and know that hot water can be a problem at times so maybe a bit harsh there. The property could be absolutely stunning with a little TLC as most things inside seem very old, and more thought about what guests need during their stay. That said, Location was great, 20 mins or so walk to Nerja centre, 5 mins walk to the beach (near Marinas de Nerja) where buses also ran regularly to Nerja costing only €1.20. We had a very nice holiday but was also pleased to have a warm shower back in the UK on our return!
