Tucked away in a quiet rural location, our spacious and light-filled cottage offers the perfect balance of countryside tranquillity and easy access to the coast, being just a 5-minute drive from Bude’s stunning beaches, surfing spots and coastal attractions.

The cottage is ideally located for exploring some of North Cornwall’s most loved beaches. Enjoy surfing and sea views at Northcott Beach and Crooklets Beach, or spend family days at Summerleaze Beach, home to its famous seapool, sandy beach and rock pools that children will love exploring. Whether you’re looking for surfing, swimming, paddleboarding, coastal walks or relaxing days by the sea, this is the perfect location for a Cornish beach holiday.

The cottage offers three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own charm.

Bedroom 1 features a king-size bed with beautiful sea views across Northcott Beach, making it the perfect place to wake up to the Cornish coastline.

Bedroom 2 also has a double bed with stunning views towards Northcott Beach.

Bedroom 3 provides two single beds, ideal for children, with lovely views over the rear garden and neighbouring fields, where you can often spot horses or sheep grazing.

The heart of the cottage is designed for family time. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a relaxing self-catering stay, while the spacious dining room provides plenty of room for family meals, games and sharing stories after a day of exploring. On arrival, guests are welcomed with a basket of Cornish goodies to enjoy during their stay.

The cosy living room is the perfect place to unwind, featuring a TV, a traditional woodburner for cosy evenings, and a selection of board games and family games for entertainment whatever the weather.

The bathroom offers a touch of luxury with a traditional roll-top bath, perfect for an indulgent soak, alongside a modern rainfall shower.

Designed with families in mind, we provide thoughtful extras including a stair gate, high chair, children’s books, board games and beach equipment, helping to make your holiday easier and more relaxing for parents and children alike.

Outside, there is plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy, with a front and large rear garden featuring a trampoline, swing and climbing frame. Both gardens have outdoor dining areas, with a BBQ provided for relaxed summer evenings and alfresco meals.

Set along a private lane shared with only three other houses, the cottage enjoys a peaceful and safe rural setting. There is off-road parking for two large cars, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

The cottage sits directly on a public footpath, giving you access to wonderful countryside and coastal walks. Follow the path past historic Broomhill Manor, where you can visit the riding stables, or continue all the way down to Crooklets Beach.

In the oher direction, a short 5-minute walk across the fields brings you to The Preston Gate pub, offering a true Cornish pub experience with great food, a welcoming atmosphere and live music.

For a family adventure close to home, walk to the top of the lane, cross the road and enter the Battle of Stamford Hill field. Follow the peaceful woodland path, where children can enjoy a safe shaded walk, play pooh sticks in the river and discover rope swings along the way.

A very nice place to chill out and have a nice holiday

Quirky cottage in rural location but a short drive to Bude. Good garden with vegetables and trampoline was a bonus. Beds comfortable. Owner was good to deal with - very responsive. However it was top end on pricing for the internal specification and one bathroom with no separate toilet for a 3 bedroom house is not ideal.

We stayed here for two weeks. Pros: Great location for exploring the lovely Cornish coastal villages. Very peaceful too. The cottage was spotless and the communication with the owner was very good. I felt they were on hand to answer any questions should I have needed it. Cons: the cottage is very old so the walls and floors are not very well sound insulated so once one person was up in the morning, the whole house was up! Of course, not the owners fault, but something to bear in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Terrible shame that the fires cannot be lit. After a windy day on the beach it would have been lovely to light one. I’m a keen cook so I found the kitchen could have been better equipped. Overall, a good stay and I would recommend

We had a great week in this beautiful cottage. It is well kitted out and in a lovely location. Naomi couldn’t have been more helpful when we mentioned a problem with the loo - she got it fixed straight away. We would love to come back another time.
