About this cottage rental
Located in rugged, idyllic North Cornwall, the region offers some of the best scenery in the west with its lovely cliff-top walks and quiet sheltered coves to explore. Bude is a big hit with families for its sandy beach, perfect for building sandcastles, outdoor swimming pool in the rocks, and surfing spots like the neighbouring Widemouth Bay. The area is also best known for the Tintagel Castle ruins and Boscastle too with its picture-postcard harbour. Other popular visitor attractions include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Clovelly with its steep, stepped cobbled streets, all within reasonable driving distance. In the evenings, the town is vibrant and you can enjoy a lovely meal in one of the local pubs and restaurants or take a trip out of town to the wonderful, independent Rebel Cinema, 5 miles away. Bude also has a 19-hole golf course for sports fans, and for budding historians investigate the canal and sea lock. There’s plenty to discover in and around Bude.
On entering the property you’ll find the spacious entrance hallway leading to the airy lounge which is equipped with a Smart TV with DVD, Freeview and Youview. To keep you all cosy at night the lounge has a wood burner effect gas fire to relax beside. Also leading from the hallway is the modern kitchen/diner with a SMEG range cooker, American-style fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and hi-fi. A washer/dryer is found in a ground floor utility room which also has a door leading to the garden. A fully furnished conservatory can be accessed via French doors from both the lounge and the kitchen/diner, an ideal spot for a coffee and a good book. There is a door from the entrance hall leading into the garage which houses a 6ft snooker table to keep you entertained. A double bedroom with a TV is located on the ground floor and the other three of the four bedrooms are located upstairs. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and a TV. The two other bedrooms are both twins, the first of which has a TV/DVD and restricted headroom, making it ideal for children. Close by is the bathroom, complete with a freestanding slipper bath with a separate shower and WC. A shower room with WC can be found on the ground floor.
Outside the property, you can enjoy a small enclosed raised garden which has a few steps and benefits from outdoor seating on the patio, ideal for al fresco dining and drinks.
