Refreshingly relaxing in elegant surroundings

I usually stay at hotels for work trips but stayed here this time. The place is absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed having space to relax instead of being restricted to the hotel room. I popped to the Local M&S on the way back from work, logged into Netflix and had a really chilled few nights.

Fairytale barn conversion and the perfect countryside estate getaway!

The barn conversion has been thoughtfully and tastefully curated, with the discerning traveller in mind. Just a stones throw from Hertford and with good access to all major routes, the accommodation enjoys an elevated position, with good views, whilst being very privately nestled in established gardens and woodland. We had everything we needed for our two night stay and enjoyed the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, which had ample room, along with the wonderful showroom and cosy bedroom. Viv maintained superb communication throughout and was very helpful before, during and after our stay! My wife and I will definitely visit again!

Hertford Barn

Gated and private, great heating, comfortable bed, plenty of parking.

This was meant to be a peaceful / restful break for my husband and I but we got an early morning wake-up call on Friday at 8.30am by the gardeners who were leaf blowing with a very noisy petrol blower. Early Saturday morning (1am and 7.45am) woken up again by loud alarm going off. We wanted to watch our Xmas films from my laptop but had issues with the main Sony TV as it's old and not connected to the WiFi so I was unable to cast to it or connect via HDMI as the main Remote had been removed by the owner. Just had the sky now box remote, the Sky box is only good for streaming and catch-up. Crockery is also mismatched and tired and chipped. This is our second visit and the property is looking somewhat tired compared to our previous visit in 2023

Woodland Bliss

Peaceful, comfy, secure and secluded, in beautiful woodland. Loved the bathroom. Well equipped and laid out. Ideal home from home. Don't have tv at home, so it was a treat to watch something live. Good for commuting, yet rural.

Would have been good for there to have been a grill and a steamer, but took my own steamer and masher. Not being able to meet Viv and Elsie the dog, but did get a lovely email from Viv, the owner.

The Barn was very comfortable and in a lovely location. The information we received from Viv was timely and very clear. The whole weekend went very smoothly in terms of our accommodation thanks to Viv.

Luxury woodland barn

Stunning attic barn conversion. Everything has been done to a luxurious finish and includes lots of thoughtful extras: Dyson air fan in bedroom; washing machine with soap; coffee machine with pods; dishwasher; and the huge TV has sky sports so we were able to watch the Hundred!

Perfect Couples Getaway

The converted barn is very elegant, cosy and charming. It is beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We liked the kitchen and living room area so much. There are many little careful thought out nooks, inviting you to stay. Viv was an excellent host, easily the most responsive I have ever encountered,and made us feel welcome. The location was ideal for a couple exploring Hertford. Shout out to the different bins for recycling and trash.

A beautiful barn stay for serenity and comfort, enjoyably nestled amongst private woodland

This space makes for an incredible retreat, set in beautiful grounds with the restful ambience of woodland surroundings. The accommodation is wonderfully furnished, very spacious, and very well equipped. The host was also very helpful and provided lots of information to assist our stay.

Out door space next to shed was very restrictive not very appealing. This area could do with more attention to it or another area designated so people stating could relax and enjoy the area. Unfortunately we were told we were not to go into the grounds as house next door to barn. Defently needs an additional out door area thats to the same standard as accommodation. Im sure this is an easy fix for future visits as it would make it perfect.

It was unfortunate, but the heating went kaput. Viv did her best to fix it, including temp. heaters. A soap-rack in the shower space would be handy!

we loved our stay! we are renovating our property so we have stayed in lots of apartments and this one is by far our favourite, felt so safe and secure and great facilities , clean and beds were so comfy , was a great size and very quiet abs beautiful surroundings! we loved it all! we didn’t meet the owners but we did however meet Elsie , who was so cute and made the stay even better l! thank you viv we hope to stay again!

Perfect stay while on work event, The barn is decorated and facilitated to a high standard. Very cosy and comfortable and modern. Surrounded by nature couldn’t ask for more and will hopefully be back when I’m back on business again x
