I liked it so much that I booked an extra week!
I loved the location and the proximity to a wide range of fabulous places to visit. The property is aptly named. It does indeed have charm. The village has a long history and there are a number of places of interest to investigate.
It’s not a question of not liking it because the narrow lanes are all part of the charm. Just be aware that the pathways were obviously built hundreds of years before cars, so you either need a very small car and good driving skills or strong arms to carry your stuff from the parking area.

Highly recommended for a complete getaway!
The location is unbeatable if you plan to take advantage of the nature trails, enjoy fresh air and explore a variety of landscapes. The village is small and authentic but not far from San Fedele Intelvi and also Porlezza in the opposite direction. Ramponio Verna has the Museo Gauli art exhibition and two different troughs of natural water for doing the laundry. The nearby church of Saint Pancras is historic and beautiful. Lake Lugano can be seen if you walks a few metres down the hill. Absolutely glorious! The countryside on your doorstep is grasslands with sheep, goats, cows and donkeys. The birdsong is all around you. And if you fancy a little highlife, Como, the Lake Como resorts and the beautiful Lugano are all less than an hour away. Highly recommended!
I found it a little difficult to carry things from my car (I’m 66 years old!) since the tiny streets don’t easily accommodate cars. Parking is plentiful, however, and the closest is in front of the town hall.

Authentic Experience
Property is in Ramponio on the hillside of steep Italian mountains overlooking lake Lugano. Very friendly and helpful host! Emilio was quick to email back and answer all of our questions. The apartment looks exactly like on the pictures, comes with anything one might need. This is a perfect location for those who are looking to experience real Italian life far away from tourists. The village had just one store, but not even 5 min away is a village with many options for dining. It is closer to Lugano, Switzerland than Como, Italy. Perfect for day trips and biking or hiking!
Parking by the property is tight if you have a SUV but you can park near by and it’s safe and free. The bed was a sofa bed.

De omgeving is prachtig en je zit precies tussen het Luganomeer en Comomeer. Ideale uitvalsbasis om beide meren te ontdekken! De accommodatie is heel koel, wat heel fijn is op warme dagen. Fijne patio waar onze hond ook los kon lopen.
De accommodatie is wat vochtig waardoor alles soms wat klam aanvoelt. De patio was niet helemaal netjes en rook niet zo fris, kon wel een opfrisbeurt gebruiken zodat je er ook lekker buiten kunt zitten.
