It's cheap. It's central. It's acceptably clean. Staff is accommodating. Facilities... uh...you get what you pay for.

I'm always staying here whenever I go to Manila. It's convenient and safe.

I booked this hotel for ₱1,000/night because it was near my exam venue the next day. I deeply regret not spending ₱500 more for a better hotel. This property is just a rebranded old hotel and does not match the usual standard of other RedDoorz branches. I arrived late at night only to find out that the first room given to me had a broken double lock. As a solo traveler, I didn't feel safe, so I asked the staff for a room transfer. They moved me to another room, but it only made things worse. The aircon was extremely loud. It seemed fine at first, but after a few minutes, the noise became unbearable. When I turned it off, the room became too hot, so I had no choice but to turn it back on and just suffer the noise rather than sweat in the heat. The bed was terrible—it felt like a hospital bed with a foam covered in leather, which gave me a backache. To make matters worse, the place has a serious pest problem. At night, baby cockroaches kept coming out from the tables. Then the next morning, as I was gathering my things to leave, another cockroach suddenly popped up right on the bed. It was very unhygienic and unsettling. I just came from a flight and needed a good night's rest for my exam the next day, but I ended up having interrupted sleep all night. I hope the management will fix their airconditioning units and ensure the safety of their guests, especially solo travelers who need secure locks. Avoid this place if you value comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
