Location.

By mistake l booked the room only as we had budgeted across three other cities. For what we paid in other cities the quality of this room was poor. Room needs maintenance properly. We had ants and we are well travelled and are very aware not to leave food out. We were advised that they were trying to arrange someone to change sheets didn’t happen, as well as for us to buy the ant spray! The room smelt damp and l contacted to ask about moving no mention of this smell after the ants! I had to ask for an iron which took time out of our day as it was advertised with iron. Iron board in corridor and was full of spiderwebs had to use a towel on the table. The shower is directly beside toilet on a steel floor never seen anything like this, water was then dripping out of toilet unit wall. Also, taking our rubbish out to the square, due to time leaving for airport it was too early to do this! I’m on holiday l really shouldn’t need to! Hairdryer that is advertised isn’t an actual hairdryer it was off a hot brush and was absolutely a waste of time. Given the steel floor and water l wouldn’t use it in the bathroom!! Outside garden photos do not reflect real time! We wouldn’t return.

Good accessible location, roomy apartment in need of some attention,

Location was good and host communicated well with us.

Apartment is in need of maintenance. Hot water system was being replaced as we left but the sliding doors need fixing, especially the bathroom/toilet door. Lighting needs upgrade throughout and the kitchen cupboards need fixing.

While the shower-over-toilet setup might not suit everyone, it worked perfectly fine for us. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location couldn't have been better. A solid 10/10 experience all around!

Cosy Stay Near the Heart of Venice

We had a pleasant stay at Ca' del Cortile. The apartment was clean, cosy, and perfectly suited for our time in Venice. Its location was great — just a short walk from Piazza San Marco and the city center, which made exploring very convenient. The only downside was the bathroom setup. It was tucked into a very small corner of the apartment, and the shower was positioned directly over the toilet, which made it a bit uncomfortable and cramped to use. That said, overall the apartment worked well for our needs and made for an enjoyable stay in Venice.

Lovely stay in Venice, but very basic accommodation.

It’s in a great location, but could do with some maintenance. The bed is creaky & has an ill fitting, harsh plastic sheet that really isn’t comfortable. The electric sockets need checking as not all of them work properly. The bathroom is quite smelly, which could just be from the shower curtain hung next to the toilet. It wouldn’t cost a great deal, or take much effort to spruce up and make more comfortable.

Location and quiet

Owner did not give us the street name. Our first night we got lost and no one could help us because of we had no street name, just the name of the neighbourhood. The number of the building was faded away. We each had one bath towel and one face towel for a stay of 4 nights. Toilet paper, one roll and a half. No toiletries except for hand and shower washes. Tap of the sink was too short for even properly washing your teeth or face. Kitchen was not well equipped. Pots were old and used. No paper or cloth wiping towels. There were three tiny garbage pails. We had to buy our own bags. And we were casually told to bring out our garbage to a garbage somewhere in the city. No idea where it was.

- the aircon sounds like a tractor in the room and it seems like we are not the only one that’s been complaining about, if you read through the comments and reviews you’ll see that almost everyone complained about it and this is just not good enough. the owner just ignore the issue. i reached out and they said the weather is changing and you don’t need to use the aircon. first of all, i didn’t pay for a room with aircon and not be able to use it. - the room is not what we expected, the toilet is so small and shower is literally on top of the toilet, just makes it so wet and unhygienic. and it floods when we shower, the drain takes a few mins to clear the water and you can imagine how disgusting that can be standing in a puddle of your shower water + toilet. - we stayed for 4d3n and they only provided 1 toilet rolls (2 adults), i requested for extras and they bought them over the next day. i feel like this is basic stuff that should at least be prepared to begin with. - there’s no toiletries at all, no soaps, nothing. only 1 toilet roll. - check in procedure is quite annoying as we need to set a time to meet with the lady. train delays etc can make it really tricky and exhausting. - also, the room is quite dark. insufficient lighting

It was in a great and convenient location. Very central of Venice!

The shower was not separated from the rest of the bathroom. Literally right on top of the toilet. Because there was nothing to keep the water from staying in one section, the water from the shower filled the whole bathroom. The air conditioner sounded like a jet engine and when I asked the person in charge of it can be fixed, the message was ignored until I had to tell her that we were very disappointed with the customer care.

Stay here!

Perfect studio for a couple. Clean and amazing location for first time visitors to Venice! Aircon was great to relax in after hot days exploring.

Shower is a tight squeeze, but no problems for us. There was no toilet paper but supermarket was so close it was no issue.

Poor

The location was great. and the size of the place was good

You know this could be a darling place if they upgraded the furnishings. The furniture looked like it came from a second hand ugly store. Perhaps update the color scheme as well. Because it has a great little terrace, but all the plants were dead. and by all I mean 3 little planters. It really could be a nice place if they just put a little money into it. But I'm afraid they just do the bare minimum. plus the photos dont look anything like the place.

Nice location, friendly staff. Nice patio to sit and have a drink. Preventing the mosquitos getting in a lot of screens, so thats nice. Kitchen quiet well equiped to make you own breakfast.

Federica an Chiara was very kind and they really helped so much. Location is perfect in the heart of the city near Canal Grande.

Because of the city structure all of the buildings are historical an old buildings. That's why there was a smell in the room. But this old smell is everywhere in Venice :) And air conditioner needs repair. It worked awfull :(

Would not recommend

- comms decent enough from lunchtime of check in - warm welcome from host's son - quiet yet central location

- unreasonably loud AC unit trying to rattle itself off the wall 60cm from the bed. Couldn't use at night and v hot - so uncomfortable. No fan available. - place smells of damp and must - floors need a good scrub - shower is over the toilet (your knees hit the toilet bowl and the moldy shower curtain sticks to you) - no shower tray so floor floods and stays wet - toilet seat is broken - shower head is broken - bulbs out and some sockets don't work - TV doesn't work - place needs modernisation - found glasses were chipped and dirty crockery - no facility to leave bags - no check out instructions for leaving keys - would not stay again or recommend.

It was a very cute little place to stay! Federica was very kind and we appreciated her meeting us at a bus stop to bring us to the apartment.

We enjoyed our stay, the set up gave us an idea of what it is like to live there.

It was clean, comfortable and it has lots of room. It has a kitchen and there is a grocery store nearby.

We felt more like renters, you have to run your own trash out daily to the square. We had no spare towels and we ran out of toilet paper. There is a wash machine but no dryer or clothes line outside.

Great location, very close to S.Angelo vaporetto stop. Kitchen is o.k. with everything you need but no microwave. Federica, the host, was nice and very accommodating.

Unpleasant stay, not a good calue for money

Really the only thing that stands out is the location, and the price I guess

- Entire apartment smells like mold, floors and carpets were dirty - Very noisy, you can hear everyone going in and out of the building complex - No soap or shampoo in the shower, when asked for help the host promised to provide soap but never did - TV is tiny and unusable - Wi-Fi is super slow and unstable, repeatedly disconnects in the bedroom - No place to dry out washed clothes - Host took a very long time to respond to messages

Location was superb, very close to Venice's major attractions. Kudos to Federica, an excellent host, although she was not able meet us because of delay at immigration, nonetheless her assistant Stefano ably took care of us, even recommend places to eat.
