Casa Gargallo 28

Casa Gargallo 28 exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate in a great area. Easy walk to restaurants and attractions. Roberto provided excellent information reagardigng local restaurants bus connections. He was an excellent host.

Roberto is a wonderful host. He clearly loves Ortigia and was informative and so kind with welcoming us. The space is perfect, located minutes away from everything with modern amenities. The space is spacious with a great air conditioning system, full size fridge, a washer and dryer and plenty of towels and hangers.

The bed was a little too firm, and the bedroom is next to the alleyway. There doesn’t seem to be any way of keeping the sound out. The bathroom also started to get a smell after a few days that was quite strong, we couldn’t figure out where it came from.

Roberto is one of the best hosts we have ever had in our many visits to Italy. He was responsive, helpful and just a lovely man. His property is truly brilliant. It is on the ground level so easy to get into and out of even though it is in the ZTL. If you are staying for a long time it is best to arrange access to the ZTL prior to arrival. The apartment was truly a little home. It had EVERYTHING and more that you may need. Roberto even left us special treats such as local biscuits and wine. We are truly grateful.

The water pressure in Ortigia is poor in all properties. There is not much you can do about that if you want to visit this beautiful town.
