The experience was awful.

The location was excellent. It was secluded and yet close to the attractions. And it gave you a unique view of what the area looked like 100 years ago. There were still 1-lane roads connecting areas. I'm sure you could avoid those, but it was part of the charm. The house had parking, which was a plus, since we had rented a car.

The house was not as it seemed in the pictures/description or in texts with the owner. The stairs are a HAZARD! They are so narrow across that your foot doesn't fit. There is no handrail on either side. And they twist and turn. You hit your head on the ceiling if you don't duck! My sister and I are seniors, and we literally crawled up from the basement. We went outside to go down the stairs to the basement door, because we were afraid to fall, so we had to be sure to get ourselves together and ready so we didn't have to make multiple trips up and down... Altogether we were 4 people, 2 sisters and a 50+ year old son and 13 year old granddaughter. We needed to have a place for my son and a place for my granddaughter in a separate room. The owner indicated the 13 year old could sleep on the settee in the "living room." The living room is a part of the kitchen. There is a small settee maybe 4' x 2' where my granddaughter was to sleep...Last, and not least, there are 2 sensor lights that go on and off for no reason all night long outside and coming down from upstairs. Certainly nothing triggers the inside light...So my son and granddaughter were constantly woken up. Finally, the check-out time is 10:00-11:00. Before 10:00, the owner came over and indicated he wanted us out soon. We were packing up and we hurried to be out around 10:45. When we left he texted that we had left food in the fridge (leftovers in bags from night before) and coffee pot was not clean. He deducted $52 from our deposit for our "disrespect."

La posizione vicina a tutti i principali castelli della Loira. La spaziosità dell’appartamento. Molto comoda la lavastoviglie. L’accoglienza del proprietario molto calorosa, sempre disponibile.

Le scale interne alla struttura era un po’ strette. Un consiglio: aggiungerei la lavatrice.

Die Wohnung war sauber und Pascal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das WiFi war ebenfalls leistungsstark und Schloss Chenonceaux um die Ecke. Die Ausstattung der Küche war funktional.

Die Aufteilung der Zimmer war über drei Stockwerke sehr unpraktisch. Man konnte die Zimmer innen nur über sehr steile Treppen mit niedriger Decke krabbelnd erreichenn. Das zweite Schlafzimmer war zur Nutzung nicht vorgesehen, was uns enttäuschte, da wir die Wohnung gerade deshalb gebucht hatten. Der Parkplatz gegenüber der Straße war eng, da er mit zwei weiteren Fahrzeugen geteilt werden muss, die oft großzügig parken. Die Zimmeraustattung und das Geschirr sind recht rustikal und nostalgisch.
