Private and peaceful
Absolutely amazing property and owners. It was our first time to Abergavenny and Alison came and talked to us about her favourite walking spots and food places close by. We loved our stay here especially because the hot tub was under a cover which is a real rare find AND a private enclosed garden for your pooches!! (this is only small but the owners did offer to use their own personal garden for our pooch which is so kind.)The property is not near any other houses or estates and is on its own plot of land so is really private. The owners do live next door but that is no bother as it’s so private. We ran into a couple of hiccups which we understand but Alison and Dean were so helpful and understanding and came out each time as soon as I texted her. We would definitely come back because it’s a gorgeous cottage with lovely walks nearby and food places and is so homely!
There was nothing that wasn’t to what we would expect and it was all amazing especially little decorations for Christmas time.

Perfect in every way thank you Alison and Dean
It was immaculately clean and welcoming and the fire was lit for us so when we arrived it was lovely and warm. All the finishing touches and decor were amazing and we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco on ice and Welsh cakes. Alison came and showed us how to use everything and was a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and the showers were lovely the best place we have stayed and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The hot tub was lovely and was a lovely extra to an already fantastic property.
There was nothing we disliked only the fact we had to come home !!

Feels like home from home
Great value for money. Very cosy, lots of space, 2 separate bathrooms and having hot tub and fireplace was lovely. Alison and Dean were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Lovely venue and host, and would be great for most people.
This is a nice venue, I particularly liked the downstairs area. Unfortunately, although I saw the set up in the pictures, I didn't really get on with the sloping ceiling in the bedroom (I banged my head less each day but still didn't really get on with it). We had a small baby with us so we were up periodically in the night, which wouldn't be a problem for most visitors, I'm not sure how good the sound proofing was for the next door rooms (the other guest reviews will have to confirm that) - and not a problem but for our small child. The bathroom was very nicely set up, although I would have preferred a shower to the bath, again I saw the pictures and had opted to go with it, but in practice wasn't something I should have picked. The location was good, a quiet spot just outside the town. We went into Abergavenny to Il Gusto and Casa Bianca, both nice Italian Restaurants which we would go back to. We only got to Abergavenny in the evening on the first night, so didn't spot the car park parallel to the high street (there is a short cut through from the corner of the car park over the traffic lights through to the high street). Crickhowell is also nearby and was a nice town to visit. Mainly this is a walking / hiking area. The host, Alison, is lovely.
On reflection I'd suggest (1) some lights for the sign on the road - we were fine the first night when we arrived but did go past it the next time as it was dark (2) a larger waste bin in the kitchen (again, I appreciate the recycling, which I did as much as I could but after a couple of days the plastic tub for general waste and food was overflowing). I have mentioned the sloping ceiling (I knew about that, so my bad really). Also for the hot tub there is a £25 additional charge - I didn't see that in the details, although I can see it is in response to one of the questions on the site, we didn't use the hot tub but I'd make that extra charge clearer.
