Some items in mini bar were too expensive tv a bit difficult to use hallway decor could do with a paint to accomodate the 5 Star breakfast not included ended up with a more expensive food and drink bill than our room

Beautiful location that we most enjoyed. The restaurant was quite enjoyable.

Style and ambiance

Room was small

Dinner was very good, although both of us felt some dishes were oversalted. A Michelin starred restaurant should be able to avoid this. Decor throughout was good. Most of the service was good.

Among the 182 photos on the Booking website the overwhelming majority show the Manse itself. Only two that I could find suggested the possibility that whilst dinner is served in the Manse, you will be staying in the new-build block about 100 yards away. These rooms are perhaps best described as hutches - one small room and shower room with no bath. Sound insulation was poor, and we could distinctly hear the voices of the couple next door. The grounds are big enough for properly planned and built overflow accommodation, but no doubt the hutches were cheaper. All in all, we didn't feel it was worth the considerable sum of money. I would go back to eat, but not to stay.
