About this cottage rental

This charming home has been stylishly renovated, combining the best of traditional and contemporary style. It's bright and welcoming throughout, with lots of space for both formal and informal gatherings. It's around a mile from the River Spey, and 2.5 miles from the lively town of Kingussie, where you'll find pubs and shops. The Cairngorms National Park surrounds the property, giving excellent walking and mountain biking on the doorstep. Aviemore, home to winter snow sports and summer hiking and climbing, is 15 miles away.

The house is impressive throughout, with light, bright social spaces and plenty of character. Features include handmade staircases and carved wooden beams. There is a large entrance hall with a wood burner, with plenty of space for putting on coats and boots which can be stored in the boot room and drying room. There is a very spacious living room, with a choice of sofas and armchairs and an open fire. The dining room has a large wooden table, with space for everyone to gather after preparing a meal in the bright and contemporary kitchen; it's equipped with an Aga, a double electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, and lots of food preparation space. There are seven bedrooms spread over the ground and first floors, six of which have zip-and-link king-size beds that can be converted to twin beds. There is also a king-size master bedroom. Five of the bedrooms have an en-suite, and two bedrooms share a bathroom. There is space for another two to sleep in the separate bothy, behind the main house.

Outside, there is a private garden with furniture and huge grounds to explore, including a nine-hole golf course and a tennis court. There is ample parking.
