Château Canet

The house was really nice and the location perfect. It was well equipped. The attention from the owner was always fast and they are a kind family.

The house could have been cleaner, we could see that there were things that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We expected to have regular cleaning for the six days that we spent (at least twice, as they do in other accommodations) but it wasn’t like this. In the kitchen, specially the pans were very old and there was no microwave. At the end we found the price too high for the accommodation.

What a beautiful place, something for everyone (wine lovers, families with kids, couples etc), in a wonderful setting tucked away in the Carcassonne country side. A working vineyard, run by a lovely international family and wine connoisseurs - and all their wines are a marvel, we particularly loved the white Minervois as well as the Chardonnay. We had the most relaxing time and our small daughter was charmed by the swimming pool,playroom and tennis court. A real hidden gem, we will most definitely be back!

Hosts were super helpful, friendly and knowledgable about the winery as well as the restaurants and amenities in the area. The facilities were perfect for us -- we had everything we needed, plus many nice touches like their own olive oil, handmade soaps and a complimentary bottle of wine.

Extremely welcoming place, very helpful staff and an excellent insight into the wine making process. Very tranquil setting and plenty of activities for kids and adults alike.
