STAY AWAY, DIRTY INSIDE AND OUT

From the start, communication wasn't acceptable. I messaged via booking.com from Febuary to ask about my dogs and if there was an extra charge.( I'd already paid the entire fee for the caravan) No response , even by mid March after me repeatedly messaging. I then used the 'emergency ' mobile number, to which I did get a response. I again had to use this number when asking for details about the caravan, I.e key lock code etc, as it was 48 hours before we were due to leave and I'd heard nothing. Upon arrival,aporox 3pm, there were cigarette butts as soon as we got out of the car. We opened up the caravan and were quite disappointed. It wasn't clean. The cutlery was dirty/rusting, and there was no way to wash up as the sponges were mouldy. Also, the boiler wasn't working so no hot water ( i only read when there that someone else had this problem and had to fix it themselves) the dirty toilet paper that again, was reported in another review 2 weeks previous was still there! There is only 1 plug socket in each bedroom, the tv plug doesn't reach this, so you would need to bring your own extension lead. The rooms are small, especially the double bedroom. You can just about walk around the bed. For the amount we paid, plus extra £50 for the dogs, I felt totally disheartened, upset and ripped off, as I'd been looking forward to a week off. My family and I made the decision to leave Tuesday morning. We couldn't stay there for 6 days, 1 was enough. The owner does know, when I told her we'd left via text I got no response. I have sent photos via text and WhatsApp, again being nothing but nice , hoping that I'd at least get a 50% refund as we paid almost £700 to be there less than 24 hours. I've still had no response. I didn't want to make this public but since I'm basically being ghosted I have no other choice. STAY AWAY, DIRTY INSIDE AND OUT

Filthy caravan & disgraceful owner

Where to start? The place was filthy & unhygienic (see photo's taken). Upon arrival on Saturday afternoon there was no water to the property so I had to turn it on outside via a stop tap. The boiler wasn't working & I had to fill the heating system myself as the on site maintenance man said he wasn't allowed to touch it. We found that the place was just dirty & it got worse the longer we stayed. Someone elses knickers found hanging out from under radiator, out of date jams left in the fridge (out of date by almost SEVEN MONTHS). The cooker splashback was filthy with grease & grime, the freezer was full of black mould, dirty glass & pop bottle under the bed along with disgusting kids sweets. Toilet paper on the floor in the toilet behind the toilet brush. The vacuum left for us to clean with was full to the brim & the filter absolutely caked with other peoples filth. Every room had dirty used dehumidifiers that were brimmed with dirty water. Mainly, the double bedroom absolutely stinks of urine! This has been mentioned in a previous review from another person & the owners response was that all mattresses had been changed for memory foam ones. This is a lie, all mattresses are cheap basic spring mattresses that have all seen better days. You have to strip the beds upon checkout so this is not hard to see. The mattress protector on the double bed had stains on & the double duvet had what looked & smelled like urine stains all over it. I notice how one other review also mentions having to sleep in the living room because of the smell in that bedroom. Absolutely disgusting & abhorrent! Issues were reported to the owner via text on Sunday morning (leas than 24 hours into a week long stay). Her response was to blame the cleaners. **USUAL LYING RESPONSE FROM THE FILTHY OWNER. SHE REALLY SHOULDN'T COMMUNICATE VIA MESSAGES & WHATSAPP IF SHE'S GOING TO DENY WHAT HAPPENED & TRY TO BLAME A DECENT CLEAN FAMILY.

Double bedroom stinks of urine with stained duvet & sheets!! Cleanliness was non existent. Mouldy freezer, out of date food left in fridge, dirty knickers found under radiator. Walls behind & under single beds full of mould & filth.

Comfy accommodation, family fun and happy memories

The property was ideal and the interior was perfect for our requirements. The veranda was also an added bonus. The property was clean and had attention to detail, whilst both the living area and bedrooms were very comfortable. The decor was exactly as detailed in the photos. The correspondence between myself and the owner was very welcoming. I would recommend this Accomodation 🙂

Best stay ever

Brilliant stay here. The host was the loveliest person you could ask for, informative, friendly and welcoming, she sent me messages explaining everything from how to put the heating on to what's around locally to do, and answered any questions, really genuine and its clear they want you to enjoy your holiday. The caravan itself was spotlessly clean, the welcome basket is awesome, it's not a holiday without mini cereals! And a bottle of fizz for me the mum😃. The beds were so comfortable, had a great sleep, bedding fresh and clean, and towels are great to have, the caravan is very well thought out. Nicely decorated. Separate toilet and bathroom is useful with a family too. The club onsite is nice to spend an hour or two with small arcade too. Beach is straight off site, and quiet. Its about a 5 min walk up to town to other arcades and some pubs ( didn't go into the pubs but look nice enough), plenty of takeaway places too, and a spar. A short drive or bus ride away is the market, which is massive , loads of stuff to do. We also went to the funfair at skegness, and aquarium. We were busy every day, there is so much you can do in the area. I'll definitely book again, it makes such a difference with a helpful host. Thank you xxx

Nothing to dislike at all. But would have liked a hoover to tidy up after ourselves. There is plenty of cleaning supplies though and brush, mop and dust pan etc. Just personal preference.

We liked everything..walking distance to local bars .take aways and fantasy island..great bus service too..caravan was nice and clean and Deborah was so helpful..asking if we arrived safely. Did we need anything.and gave us lots of information on places to visit and what buses to get..also breakfast hamper and nice bottle of wine on arrival not to mention dog food for our pups..First time in skegness and looking forward to returning next year

Not cleaned on arrival. Bedding badly stained

TVs in each room. Living room TV large and very good. Good location near the beach.

Had not been cleaned on arrival. Walked into a mess. Also pillows and mattress covers badly stained and had to be replaced. To be fair the owners did this as soon as they could.. Cleaners were sent in after we complained and we were satisfied with their explanation. We eat out through out our stay as some of the pans were not as clean as we would have liked! I have ongoing outstanding issues with the owner and therefore I can not go into any further details as could jeopardize the case.

Liked the location of the property, in a very nice area just a 15 minute walk from ingomells. The property itself was clean and very tidy.

Didn’t like that we didn’t have the right passcode for the property on arrival and we had to then ring the owner/owners of the caravan to get the actual code. Rooms, bathroom and toilet where very small to say it was a 6 birth caravan as well.

Great location, quieter than other sites, and direct access to the beach. Nice fully equipped caravan. Very clean. I love the welcome basket. Great how towels and bedding are included. Great communication with the owner, who is always happy to answer questions.

I wish there was a shop on site to buy necessities such as milk. It was costly for a one night stay.

Wow, a holiday that met the brief!

The caravan is just as you see in the photo. It was lovely and clean and a welcome basket of cereal, snacks, coffee sachets and wine left for us. There were a few things left out like shampoo and body wash in the bathroom but we had our own. The shower is a really good size, you can get 2 children in there easily. I am a large person and loved that my body wasn't touching the sides like smaller showers. The water power was really good too. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 children 11 - 14. When you turn on the boiler it heats up really fast but had to turn off radiators in the lounge and bedrooms as it became hot but thats no trouble. The beds are comfortable and the quilts and bedding very clean. There are throws and spare cushions in the wardrobes although I like a firmer pillow so pack one if you are the same. Its a personal choice. Bedrooms are small as to be expected so there isn't much by way of storage. Suitcases could be stored under the beds although a little bit of a squeeze or in the wardrobes. There is a large full size TV in the lounge area which is better than most caravans I've stayed in before with good reception. Plenty of crockery, plates, cutlery and cooking pans. There is a good assorted of cleaning products under the sink. Parking is tight around the vans but achievable. The clubhouse is small but lovely inside, beautifully decorated. There is a childrens play area with small arcade machines and some seating for the adults. Logan was behind the bar when we arrived and he was really friendly and welcoming. The lady in the reception was also very welcoming and helpful. There is a diner serving a delicious breakfast. They offer a good selection although we didn't eat there later in the day. There is an on-site launderette which is handy but you need your own detergent. Overall the camp was very clean and has a small fishing lake and a small library hut for book exchange!

The frying pans are the cheap thin bendy ones so not the best for frying.

It was ideal location for beach and fantasy Island. Lovely caravan, clean, spacious, lovely touches of a guest hamper with wine and chocolates, even cans of dog food for our labradors. Excellent holiday and would definitely recommend to anyone x

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely clean caravan with soft furnishings from towels, bath robes to bed linen. Ideally situated for all the amenities. On arrival we were welcomed by a bottle of champers and a hamper very nice touch. Powerful invigorating shower. Superb host checked to make sure everything was okay. Free WiFi in club house.

Tried Camping Connect WiFi as advertised around the park. Unfortunately it was a very intermittent signal which we were reimbursed due to poor service. Fortunately we had very good mobile data signal with O2.

there were lots of little extras like snacks and wine which were a pleasant surprise, more than enough cutlery and kitchen appliances. a great location close to fantasy island with shops restaurants and arcades just outside the park.

the mattress in the double room was a little uncomfortable, a mattress topper would sort this issue immediately. the blinds were very dusty and need a little wipe but other than that it was immaculate.

Just returned from a lovely last minute break. Caravan was cosy, clean and well quipped, just like the photos. Complimentary snacks and chocolate a nice touch. Owner was lovely, calling to check we had arrived and everything was ok. Would definitely return and recommend to friends. Really high standard caravan, that allows dogs!!
