The view is fantastic. Autumn colors are starting to set in. It’s beautiful, I felt privileged sitting in the outdoor onsen watching mt Aso like that . Buffet for both dinner and breakfast had plenty of choice.
Usually in these style hotels they make the beds, here you have to do it yourself. We stayed 5 in 1 room had a feeling the 5th set of mattress and blanket doesn’t get used much, quite dusty. The hotel is a bit worn, but it’s clean, staff was lovely and it has a certain charm

"Loved the traditional tatami rooms, and the view of the mountains was lovely. The variety of food for breakfast and dinner was really good and lots of options."
