About this chalet rental
Chalet Vista is a beautiful, well equipped 3 bedroom holiday property (sleeping 8) with stunning views and garden in the idyllic mountain village of Stiška Vas on Krvavec mountain. Krvavec is home to one of Slovenia’s best ski areas (10 minutes drive from the chalet) and is a wonderful place for outdoor activities all year round with excellent walking, mountain biking & paragliding on the doorstep. It is also a fantastically accessible location at just 15 mins from Ljubljana airport and very well placed for exploring Slovenia – with central Ljubljana, world famous Lake Bled & medieval Kamnik all within cca 30 minutes drive.
On the first floor an entry area leads to the open plan living room - dining room with lovely fireplace and galley kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave and dishwasher. From the living room, you can exit onto the beautiful terrace with covered eating area for use in all weathers and from where the view is at its best. In the loft are 2 double bedrooms each with access to a lovely balcony, plus one quadruple bedroom with bunk beds for 2 people + 2 single beds (which can be pushed together to make a double). The facilities include a TV (is only for DVD & Apple Tv), DVD player (+ DVD library) and speakers with blue tooth connection. In the basement are the heating room with toilet, laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, gym / fitness area (yoga mats, fitness ball, skipping ropes) as well as the bike / ski storage room. There is a parking area for up to 3 cars, an outside covered seating area, a lovely garden with views and a woodshed for keeping the fireplace stocked up! The garden surrounds the house and is a great space for kids to play whilst parents enjoy the terrace overlooking it.
Please note:
* House has a maximum adult capacity of 6, groups of 8 are possible only if there are 2 children in the party.
* Guests are advised that the house has electrical heating and wood burning stove / fireplace. In the coldest Winter conditions it is advisable to both types of heating together to reach comfortable temperatures throughout the house, so guests should be comfortable with operating / feeding the wood burners.

* Multiple week discount: 5% on stays 7-14 days, 10% on stays 14-21 days , 15% on stays 21-28 days, 20% on stays 28-42 days, 25% on stays 42 days+
* One discount of highest value is applicable per booking

* Tourist tax is calculated based on valid regulations at the time of booking. If local regulations on tourist tax change between booking and arrival, the amount which is correct at the time of arrival will be chargeable.

Beautiful scenery and views from the decks. Within an hour to Lakes Bled and Bohinj, Kamnik, Ljubljana, and Postojna Caves so a convenient place to stay to hit a lot of major highlights but not much in the closest town that is a 10 minute drive away. WiFi was spotty and slow. The host is responsive and provides detailed information for the house and recommendations on what to see. I wish it had been better indicated that it is self sufficient, so they do not supply much in the way of toilet paper or trash bags and we didn’t bring it with us so had to buy them. So recommend taking an inventory upon arrival to know what you will need to buy for your comfort/needs. Additionally, it is not a very toddler/baby friendly property with the steep stairs and the crib was not provided for our stay.

We spent a magnificent week in Chalet Vista, traveling around Slovenia and following Volleyball European championships in Ljubljana. The house is very nice, the view is incredible and looks different every morning depending on the clouds down in the valley - not to talk about the sunsets behind the western mountains!

A spacious house (we stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids) in a little village of 5-6 houses. Difficult to make contact with the locals.
Quiet, in the evening, you can here the cows graze while sitting on the terrace; downhill you see the airport of Ljubljana (there is no noise pollution, but for the kids is it very interesting to see the planes come and go).
The windows of the house were very dirty; that's a pitty because of the beautiful view. The electronical devices are of a good quality (coffee maker, kettle, microwave, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, electric heating,...). In the kitchen is missing: good materials for in the microwave, the pots/pans are old and less of quality. Plates, knives,... are good and enough. There are spare lamps, spare gas,... they thought of a lot of practical things you may need....
We had a good contact by mail with the lady of 'Think Slovenia' where we rented the house and little questions or problems were solved fast that way.
