We are extremely disappointed.

Definitely to expensive for such a low standard. 760 euros for uncomfortable room without any fan or AC!!! It was extremely hot in the room when we checked in after long travel. The lady in reception told me: „go outside and find some shade”! Ridiculous. We heard people snoring in other rooms. People around were extremely loud. Even at night when we wanted to look at the stars and finally use some peace other guests were making noises and didn’t give as even 30 seconds of silence. Fortunately we were hiking most of the time and we prolonged it as much as we could to come back to the farm as late as possible. If you are looking for silent place to relax don’t even think to come here. I dare you. People who work there smile in your face but you can tell they don’t give a damn about you. They have problem with every simple request. Breakfast was so poor that you can’t imagine. This stay was the worst and the most expensive out of 5 accommodations during our EuroTrip. Owners should use some training how to treat clients. In my opinion Slovenians are rude in a polite way. Beautiful country but services are terrible. Slovenia is still far behind. Mountain trails are the worst that I’ve been on (no signs, no maintenance). OK. Mountains are always beautiful so you can’t go wrong with the spectacular views. We are in Austria now and we spent 480 Euroes for apartment which is 100 times better than this. Quick summary: customer experience = level hard. =] If you want to feel unwanted and be among guests who don’t respect other people and behave worse than animals (animals on the farm were wonderful by the way) feel free to go there. We are extremely disappointed.

Fantastic apartment in stunning hillside farm

Beautiful peaceful location with superb views across mountains and hills. Spacious warm and cosy with everything you might need. Very comfy beds. Great breakfast with tasty local foods. Lots of farm animals and cats and dogs - beautiful breeds

One of the best places we ever stayed in with my husband. Everything was just perfect - location, staff, room, food (breakfast and dinner). We really hope to come back there one day!

Peaceful, family-friendly, relaxing

The farm was excellent for a relaxing family holiday. The kids had a great time playing safely, which gave us the chance to truly unwind. The surrounding nature was green, peaceful, and calming. Everything was clean, quiet, and serene.

Nice location but rooms are quite small

The rooms have been renovated a few years ago and have lovely wood features throughout. Breakfast was included and was very nicely arranged for each table. It was a good location for driving up and walking in the alps and also you can do a nice walk right from the hotel.

The rooms have no real views of the amazing mountains which are right nearby and were very small and quite dark, e.g the only place to hang your clothes was two coat hangers on a hook. I think we were a little disappointed because we came from staying in the Logar Valley at Hisa Ojstrica where we had a lovely huge room with the most amazing mountain views for significantly less cost.

Very nice and peaceful place

Location is fantastic, the view and the quietness of the valley. The farm is very well kept, animals seem very happy and are friendly to kids. Breakfast is excellent.

The beds are not the most comfortable (a bit on the hard side) and the rooms are small. Dinner was a bit of a hit and miss, sometimes it was very good and others a bit scarce for the price tag. We had a very good stay all in all, but it is worth mentioning that we booked a room with balcony, as advertised on Booking, but were given one without and when we mentioned this we were dismissed without taking any responsibility for the mistake

Beautiful accomodation in the middle of nature.

Nice accomodation with specific atmosphere. Great breakfast, nice staff, beautiful surrounding. Definitely recommend this place!

The room was quite small. Wasps appeared in our room during our stay - even though we didn´t open the windows. Also at night. It could be dangerous for someone with some allergy :( The landlady inform us about that, but was quite uncomfortable for us.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Tourist Farm Šenkova Domačija. It was scenic and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Dinner each night was delicious; however, you need to tell them before 3pm each day if you wish to eat dinner there, including your arrival day.

The rooms were noisier than we prefer. We could hear the other guests in their rooms and when the staff was setting up the breakfast service each morning.

Enjoy farm life and Slovenian hospitality in an Alpine paradise

We stayed at Šenkova Domačija for one week and had the most amazing time. The location is paradisical, in a beautiful valley, just across the border from Austria. It's a bit outside the center of Jezersko, off the main road, in a quiet area. We felt very warmly welcome by the family and staff who run the farm and accommodation. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, the rooms were cosy and newly built, using old materials from the historical buildings, and were equipped with modern facilities; all blended in well with the historical parts of the farm. It was also great to walk around and meet and watch some of the animals and enjoy the beautiful view of the nearby mountains. The food was simple but delicious, made only from whatever grows and lives on the farm, and there was always a vegetarian option as well. We had dinner there most evenings, but due to the strict dinner times that need to blend in with farm life and work, this may not always be possible, especially if you're going off on a day trip and return later in the evening. If you're interested in hiking mostly and only staying a few days though, then there's no need to travel further, as there are already various hiking trails starting directly at the farm, and we did most of those. All in all, it was the perfect place for us to relax for a week in the middle of nature and one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia and the Alps in general. It's also excellent for outdoor adventures and less than 2 hours away by car from Ljubljana or Triglav National Park if you want to explore other parts of the country, too.
