Taygetos

I definitely slept well, that's the main thing. The place is clean and secure, and at night it is dark and quiet. The room is nice and of good size, it has a certain rustic vibe.

Host not present at all except by messaging, but the hotel listing says 24h front desk, there's no desk at all lol. It's more like an Airbnb, you're on your own. Owner had given instructions to "pull the gate" to enter the property. Ok... Arriving after dark, and tired, I failed to see that a certain fence is actually the gate. I wasted time wandering around, disturbing all the neighborhood dogs at night. I want to apologize to the local people for the racket this caused. Bed not the most comfortable. No wifi. It's on me for not checking this beforehand. But I assumed it is 2026, not actually ancient Sparta circa 500 BCE! I followed instructions for water heater. Water was still cold. I don't love that it literally takes 4min for the toilet to refill after flushing, this seems not normal. Spartan? Yes it kinda is. The many negative reviews lowered my expectations so I'm just grateful for the good night's sleep.

Location

No aircondition

Amazing views!! And good location, ~10min walk to the town itself

I wish there had been a way to warm up food, but besides that everything was great

It was the least expensive location in the area and it had a fridge.

The steep stairs outside. The boiler needed to be put on and off before usage. The small heater barely enough. Roof was leaking a bit. Please note no wifi, it is indicated but may be overlooked as it's pretty standard nowadays.
