I highly recommend this hotel. Great value and location for money.

This was a lovely boutique hotel. The staff could not have been nicer. The free breakfast was amazing with yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea, coffee and a different cooked breakfast every day. There was a fridge with beer and wine that we had access to at all times, and just wrote down what we took. Fresh water was available on every floor.

Our twin beds were a bit too hard. But a friend in another room said her bed was lovely.

We stayed in the King Room with private patio. Room was a good size and the private patio was a welcome retreat after a day exploring the city

Hotel con Corazon is a great option

The Hotel was lovely. We stayed the whole week and had a great time. It's located very very close to the city center but slightly on the outside of it which allows for less noise at night. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and different every morning while incorporating delicious ingredients from the Oaxaca region. Overall, great experience. Our room was spacious and very comfortable as well.

Great vibes

Great atmosphere & very friendly staff. The hotel looks very nice as well.

The location is not bad but there are nicer areas to stay in Oaxaca. It is also on a busy road which gives some noise. There is very little water coming out of the shower and it was not warm but i think this is maybe a problem from the area. The price of the room is really quite steep for the value you get.

Excellent and comfy

Very good vibes, the staff were celebrating one of their birthdays over lunch when I arrived. The rooms were beautifully decorated and super clean. Breakfast was delicious each morning. The bed was firm, which I like. Just a short 10-25 walk to the center, markets, shops and restaurants. I recommend Taniperla a few mins walk. Also really appreciate reinvestment in the local community.

Well appointed boutique hotel.. unfortunate circumstances..

The room was lovely, well appointed and nicely decorated. Good hot shower. All super clean and comfortable

Unfortunately we had booked here without knowing there was a festival outside the nearby church and the noise was very loud until late. Ear plugs were provided but if we had known about the festival noise we wouldn't have booked. It's probably not bad in every room..as rooms are on different levels.. Réception check in and check out not so warm and friendly either.

Lovely hotel, clean comfortable in a ok location. We love walking but if you have mobility issues note it’s around a 20

We loved the the hotel as a whole, the rooms were really nicely designed with a thoughtful antidote on one of the students who did the art in the room and attended the program. The breakfast was lovely.

The girl checking us in was either having a bad evening or just didn’t like her job. Wasn’t very welcoming and made us feel awkward.

Amazing stay in Oaxaca that also helps the community

The hotel is very charming and serves an amazing breakfast. The staff is super warm and welcoming, the beds are very good, and the toiletry are of great quality. It was one of the best bathrooms I've been during my trip in Mexico.

There was nothing I didn't like in this stay. maybe the pillows were not as good as they could be (compared to other hotels I've been).

All my love for Hotel Con Corazon

Everything was excellent: the room was huge for 2 people (and thankfully they placed us at the ground floor because we have a lot of luggages) and even had a patio/garden. Our breakfast was fantastic - freshly cooked and the chef took the time to explain to us what we are about to enjoy. We also took one of their activities - face painting for dia delos muertos and everything just went smoothly and the Catrina make up came out very nice. The hotel was beautiful - lots of green spaces. Though it was located along a busy street, we had a very good night's sleep. The best part of it all was the staff - they were super accommodating, helpful, responsive and very passionate about what they do. We had so many requests and each one they tried to find a yes. Despite us having checked out from the hotel, they still allowed us to store our luggage with them when our airbnb couldn't (our airbnb ended finding a storage for us). I love how the hotel's proceeds help support the education of Oaxaca's youth in partnership with local NGOs - you'll see everything about this program in their hotel. I would stay here again the next time I am in Oaxaca!

Super clean rooms. Lovely breakfast, kitchen staff are wonderful. Perfect for a few nights in the city centre.

If you are a light sleeper you should take into consideration that there can be quite a bit of noise at night due to hotels location. This didn’t bother us at all.

Super nice and friendly hotel with a good cause

It was very clean, the design was cool and the staff were super nice. The breakfast was also tasty :)

The location is a bit far from the center, you always need to walk 15-18 min to start the day. And also you can hear the room next to you from their bathroom:/ that was a bit uncomfortable

The complimentary breakfast at this place is phenomenal!! We chose this hotel because everyone was raving about the breakfast on their reviews and I've got to say it did not disappoint!! I can see why almost every other review mentions it- Will gladly stay here on our next Oaxaca trip.

Wonderful stay

Very beautiful small hotel, they really take care of the inner courtyard. The room was spacious and super clean, breakfast was delicious and they really make an effort. You get to try different Mexican dishes, so it might not be your typical breakfast. The staff is super friendly particularly the team at the kitchen were lovely.

Location: Not within the city limits (I assume) but very close Breakfast: Definitely not your ordinary hotel breakfast. The staff is skillful with making artistic and tasty breakfast. We were there on the day of their 7th anniversary, and everyone was given a special champagne to go with the breakfast. Room: We reserved the King Room. It is roomy enough for two people. The interior layout and decorations are nice and in good taste. The restroom and bathroom are roomy with natural light coming from the ceiling. Atrium: Outside of the room, there is an atrium that connects to all other rooms (2 to 3 floors). The atrium is cozy enough to make the hotel feel like a small community. Trees are around and inside the hotel, making it feel connected with nature. The staff nicely provides a water stand at each floor for the guests. Hotel entrance: Gated door entrance; the entrance does not look too fancy to attract too much bad attention to itself

You do need to walk down either a flight of stairs to get down to the main entrance. Might be a bit inconvenient if you have large luggage.

Beautiful and clean but noisy

The hotel is pretty and clean, the staff is really friendly and the breakfast is great. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre.

It didn't feel unsafe but there are nicer neighborhoods to stay in Oaxaca. The shower in our room had an open roof which is nice for light but horrible for sound. We woke up every morning at 7h because people in another room showered with music on.

A peaceful and welcoming stay with great service, comfortable rooms, and fantastic breakfast

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast exceeded all expectations — fresh, varied, and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Although the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the city center, the location is still very convenient, and with affordable taxis, getting around was never a problem. One major plus is how quiet the area is — unlike many other hotels in the city, there was no loud music or street noise at night. The hotel also helped arrange some fantastic tours, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.

If I had to point out one minor downside, it would be that the hot water in the shower only lasted a few minutes — probably a boiler issue. Not a major problem, just something to improve.

Great hotel overall, and I love the mission statement.

The breakfast was great, and the cleaning service too! The room was super nice and we actually got upgraded to a nicer room for free. We also got to see some of the kids the profits are going to too, which was great :)

We only got about 5 minutes of hot water every night before it got cold.

Great hotel in Oaxaca

Hotel Corazon was a great place to stay, the staff are lovely, very helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were a real treat each day. We also enjoyed the outdoor areas, and the honesty bar. It was easy to interact with other guests, which we appreciated. While it is a little away from the centro area, its an easy walk everywhere. We felt safe always, especially as the police station is only a few steps away. Our room was very comfy, and we enjoyed the aircon particularly.

Although I had one of the small rooms, it had storage space under the bed so your luggage was out of the way. It was exceptionally clean, the breakfasts were delicious and varied each day. The staff are super friendly and helpful. An easy 10 minute walk to the zocola. And your supporting the local community by your stay ❤️

A peaceful oasis in bursting Oaxaca

Perfect location, walking distance from the city centre and all main attactions in Oaxaca. We only used the taxi from the bus station to get there and leave from. There is a team the prepares home made breakfast every morning and can accomodate special requests as well. The room is quiet and air con works well, not noisy. I would recommend staying here. Drinking water is provided for free in every floor.

Really nice but a few things to keep in mind

I loved the fact that they're a social enterprise and give back to the community. A few of the staff were incredible, in particular one really cheerful and friendly lady at the front desk. It was great to have drinkable water available to refill our bottles. The decor and ambiance were stunning! Good location.

Be aware that the hotel is located on a noisy road, and that if there's a concert at the auditorium, you'll hear everything. A few things can be improved. Starting with one or two staff members who have a bad attitude and seem like they don't want to be there at all. There was a constant smell of drain in the air. The breakfast was so so, the daily options lacked protein, and the servings of fruit and mains were too small. The tours and taxi rides that the hotel arranges are way overpriced. In addition, the booking experience for said tours isn't smooth, and the guides aren't certified.

Hotel Con Corazon is a beautiful and humble oasis with thoughtfully designed details, comfortable rooms, and welcoming staff. The unique and delicious homemade breakfasts every morning in the shared dining room were a highlight. It was always a pleasure returning to Con Corazon after a long day of sight seeing.

Amazing place with a good cause

The place looks amazing, everything is well arranged and the rooms are really nice. The breakfast is outstanding. Every morning something different and always 3-courses. The hotel is a bit more expensive, but keep in mind that 75% of the profit goes to a charity.

The only thing I could think of would be the one lady behind the desk when we arrived and when we left. She was grumpy. All the other people were extremely nice. She simply didn’t seem to have fun in her work and was not good for the image of the hotel.

We had the cutest room, the round room for our stay! The staff was super friendly, room had everything we needed, location was good as we were able to walk everywhere. The hotel provided everything needed, lots of spaces to hang out, drinking water everywhere and loved the drink bar that we could access anytime. Great concept too
