Yufuin Lamp no Yado

None

Lovely and cozy hotel, like the private onsen which is just next to my room. We have booked both breakfast and dinner all very delicious.

Nothing, for me I really like the cozy environment and recommend to those who are coming to Yufuin for a short stay

nice decoration , photo ready, clean and 2 cats are cute! facilities are organized !

the staff are mostly foreign workers not Japanese natives. While I don't mind communicating with non-japanese staff, in Japan I'd like to practice my Japanese with locals and that is the point for onsei hotel. The place seems to want to take advantage of the foreign work force. I saw Japanese staff but they don't seem to want to talk to customers. Breakfast is ok, like from assembly line.

Loved the onsens, and the staff were fantastic.

The room was quite dated and lacked proper soundproofing — we could hear everything from outside and from the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax. There were no blinds or curtains behind the paper doors, so light streamed in very early in the morning, which was particularly frustrating during summer. The bathroom and shower were underwhelming for the price we paid per night. The shower space was especially cramped — we found ourselves bumping into the walls constantly, which made it an uncomfortable experience overall.
