Very enjoyable

The staff are lovely and the restaurant was fabulous. We had a great meal one evening and would have eaten there again but it was closed the next night. Breakfast is a typical German one, of cold meats, cheeses, breads and so on which we really enjoyed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice bathrooms. There are 3 spots of designated guest parking. The owner has a small shop where they sell their own wine and other products. Again, I thought the quality was excellent. Treis-Karden is a great alternative to Cochem, which I found a bit plastic & touristy and a great location for exploring the Mosel Vallay.

Our rooms didn't have a/c, so with the windows open there was a fair amount of noise from the adjacent Church bells, but it wasn't too bad.

Nice quirky building in town centre.

A character building in centre of small town. Lovely quirky room with beams and a little balcony overlooking a small private courtyard for residents. Sadly it rained so could not sit outside. We ate in the restaurant after having to go elsewhere for a beer. See comment below. The food was typical German fare and the place very popular. It is a wine cellar and the restaurant is full of interesting objects and decor reflecting this. The most impressive thing of all was the breakfast which was eye popping in the massive choice of cold meats, cheese, pickles, breads, jams and so on.

It is a wine cellar and only sells wine. No beer at all. This was surprising in Germany and although it is appreciated having beer on tap is additional work, a few bottles for those who prefer beer would probably be appreciated for not a lot of extra work.

Nice guest house in Treis-Kaden

Good location, room is fine, friendly people. Downstairs is just the restaurant, which the food also looks quite good. We didn’t eat there but we have few drinks at the evening.

Breakfast was great, as well as the restaurant in the evening. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean, big and comfortable. When we arrived, the room was cool, despite the 31 degree outside. The balcony gave us a great area for relaxing. Internet worked fine, with good speed and stability. The shower had really good pressure.

The water heater wasn't good at delivering low amounts of water and would shut down once we tried to take a colder shower (so either somewhat warm or only cold water). Only a problem when in the summer, for the rest of the year it's probably great.

Es war toll! Modernes, großes und komfortables Zimmer mit Balkon. Sehr freundlich, großartiges Frühstück, die Weinstube ein echter Tipp. Immer wieder gerne.

Frühstück war reichhaltig, frisch und lecker. Passend zu einem guten rustikalem oder bäuerlichen Frühstück. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Leider etwas hellhörig. Daher etwas Abzug.

Nyrenoverat och mysigt rum med takbjälkar och balkong. Stor men gemytlig och populär middagsrestaurang med god mat och trevlig personal. Frukosten var riklig, varierad och mycket bra. Stället är en vingård (Weingut) med egna viner till försäljning.

Es war einfach alles toll; der Parkplatz direkt vor der Türe, sehr freundliches Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, tolles Zimmer mit bequemen Betten und sehr schönem Duschbad, phantastisches Frühstück - einfach ein tolles und sehr faires Haus!!!

Sehr zu empfehlen

Vom Essen, der Lage und dem Personal war alles hervorragend. Die Besitzer verstanden es, das Alte mit dem Modernen zu verbinden, und so wirkt alles wie aus einer Geschichte. Die alten, aber sehr gepflegten Möbel in den Zimmern verleihen den Zimmern einen besonderen Charme. Die Dekorationen im Restaurant, das sich in dem alten Gebäude befindet, das früher ein Pfarrerhaus war, versetzen Sie in eine andere Welt. Das Essen war lecker und sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Unterkunft war genau das, was ich brauchte, ein kleines Gästehaus, ein Familienbetrieb, den ich zu 100 % einem modernen und kommerziellen Hotel vorziehe.

Toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen

Wir haben uns in dem Gästehaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr ruhig. Mit einem sehr leckeren Frühstück sind wir in den Tag gestartet und haben ihn mit einem Abendessen und einem Gläschen Wein in der Weinstube beendet. Die zentrale Lage bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Wanderungen und auch der Bahnhof ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
