About this cottage rental
At Casas de Pedra you can enjoy a rural atmosphere with all the facilities of a hotel.
In your stay you can enjoy services included as daily cleaning of your house, towels and all necessary linens, laundry, air conditioned, food for your dogs, firewood included for your fireplace, among others.
Our houses have a license of Agroturism, so if you love flowers and nature this experience it's perfect for you! Activities in the garden are also included in the stay.
The Azalea is a cottage, beautifully restored from an old stable or hayloft. which has retained much of its original structure and tha basalt stone with which it was originally constructed.It stands in the grounds of the main house, belonging to a Madeiran family, traditionally doctors, who live there all year round.
It is the ideal place for who want a quiet holiday and where you will find the tranquility necessary for rest physical and intellectual.
The houses have an inviting outdoor patio for meals or as a solarium or simply listen to the silence or watch the stars in the beautiful night skies, only possible living away from the cities.This space is equipped with dining table with 2 chairs, as well as 2 sun beds.
Customers may also use a small gym without any extra money.
It’s also disposal a barbecue properly equipped with all the necessary equipment for making grilled meals.
The daily cleaning is included.
It’s also a courtesy to pick up the guests at the airport, even if they have rented car, because not only personalizes the attendance but also facilitates access to the destination.

There are so many recreational activities to choose, such us two golf courses, horse riding, walks journey along the Levadas (one of which two minutes from the cottage) or even mountain walks

Levadas are water courses running round the mountains and were built by the first settlers to carry water to inaccessible farmland. Today they are one of Madeira’s greatest tourist attractions.
Attractions: Madeira has a number of attractions worth visiting during your holiday. The best-known and most traditional is the descent from Monte to Funchal in a wickerwork sledge. There is a variety of other attractions in other areas of interest that will help you learn more about Madeira while thoroughly enjoying your free time there.

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen im Haus Azalea verbracht. Alles war bestens.
Der Service (Reinigung und Frühstück) waren einwandfrei. Filomena und ihr Personal sind sehr herzlich und jederzeit für einen da.
Der Garten, in dem sich die Häuser befinden, ist sehr gepflegt. Die Nähe zu Funchal (10 Minuten mit dem Auto) sehr praktisch.
Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Die eine Woche im Naturstein-Cottage in der Ruhe und Frische des Paradies-Tals (Val paraiso) war ein echter Traum. Wir kannten die Küsten von Madeira durch 4 vorherige Aufenthalte. Die waldigen Hänge haben uns jedoch noch mehr aufgetankt.
Das Anwesen ist eingebettet in üppiges Grün. Der Hausherr liebt Rhododendron und Azaleen und pflegt sie mit großer Sorgfalt. Ähnlich gepflegt sind die Gebäude, hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Naturmaterialien haben mir besonders gefallen. Doch auch technisch war das Cottage sehr gut bestückt. Wir haben oft gekocht, aber auch die leckeren Brötchen und die täglich frische Frühstücksausstattung unter Glaskuppel genossen. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst herzlich und hilfsbereit und auch das Personal sehr freundlich und genau.
Ein Fahrzeug braucht man - wir hatten einen Motorroller und waren damit in 10 min. unten in Garajau. Somit war die Lage für uns ideal. Die Haus-Levada war für uns wie ein Geheimtipp - nach den vielen Wanderungen, die wir schon auf Madeira unternommen haben, hat uns die Urtümlichkeit der gleich am Grundstück entlang laufenden Levada wirklich überrascht.
Man sollte jedoch auf die drei Hunde des Hauses eingestellt sein. Der Schäferhund ist schon recht beeindruckend. Auf jeden Fall bei den Besitzern sofort zu Beginn ansprechen, wenn man sich beklommen fühlt. Hinter seiner Wachhundattitüde ist er gutmütig, aber man ist schon erleichtert, wenn das Personal ihn in Obhut nimmt, während man das Grundstück quert auf dem Weg zum Parkplatz. Nachts ist er ohnehin in seiner Kammer.
Sie könnte eventuell überraschen, dass diesen Kommentar ein 50-jähriger Vater geschrieben hat, der mit seinem 19-jährigen Sohn in dem Cottage war. Probieren Sie es aus, wenn Sie Stille und Natur lieben.
