Casas de Pedra

The property is very peaceful. We slept super well. It is not particularly stylish - the nineties mixed with Portuguese old school. But somehow it makes it charming. Everything was very clean. We also liked the concept of getting the breakfast in our fridge in the apartment. This way we were very flexible and also could always pack the rest for lunch during the hikes. There were peacocks with babies around the place which was fun to watch. Very nice host. We booked this place for 4 days and then 3 days something more fancy which for us made the perfect mix.

Nothing we did not like. Guests should know it is in a part of Madeira that seems to tend to just be very foggy and misty. For us this did not matter - we went hiking every day and came back late. And it made it very comfortable to sleep. But just saying this for people who think they may be able to sun bathe at the property.

The location is excellent - quiet, cozy, and surrounded by a beautiful garden. It was especially convenient since we were traveling with our dog, and staying in a separate house made our stay peaceful and relaxing. The house was cleaned every day, and breakfast for the following day was left for us in advance, which was especially convenient for our early hiking trips. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Casas de Pedra The location is perfect, slightly cooler than the coast, not far from a supermarket and easy to reach the main routes for walks etc. The self catering breakfast was great, some mornings we left early for a sunrise/walk and other we could have a lay-in with not set time for breakfast. The bread and fresh fruit were lovely, we were given a great selection and generous quantity of breakfast options. The room was cleaned and beds made up daily, the room facilities had everything we could need. The host were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay!
