Great potential, disappointingly unfinished

Good location for our purpose and we appreciate the concept of the property, renovating derelict buildings. It was good to have a fridge and the possibility to make hot drinks in the room. Good selection of local and home produced items for breakfast.

The general organisation was too ‘relaxed’ for us. We would have appreciated direct help with finding somewhere local to eat as we had experienced from other hosts on our 18 night trip (we did ask). We feel that the cost of the room reflected what it could command in its finished state. However, the room was not finished: The bathroom had a good shower, basin and toilet but no window or extractor, although there was a hole in the wall and wiring for one. Similarly, there were recessed ceiling lights in the bathroom, although one was a hole with no fitment. In the main bedroom there was a metal skeleton for a staircase which we were warned not to walk on. However, its position was hazardous in terms of bumping heads on sharp edges. The armchairs were also disappointing as they were worn with sharp metal pieces it the ends of the arms. We did not sleep well as the bed was very creaky and it was not possible to block light from the room as there were two high level windows the could not be reached and it was not possible to fully close the shutters to the main window.

With heart and soul

Host, host and again host makes this accommodation especially special. They give heart and soul to their property and guests. My kind of people. You can feel it right away at introduction. Warm welcome. Honest people. Subtly they know when to approach you. And when they do, you will get immersive story you won't want to stop. Such an interesting people. Let alone that this property and village in general has rich history and charm. Everything is furnitured with character. It respects and follows what once was. Venue is peaceful with a lot of greens. I notice how every guest was all smiles. Place where you can reset yourself from all the stress of life. I suggest you chose breakfast as well. A lot of own products. Next time I will have to come with car for more room to bring all good stuff with me home... There are still hidden diamond places you can find without massive touristic shallowness.

Beautiful hamlet with wonderful hosts who really care about guests getting an authentic experience. Outdoor kitchen for guests to use, amazing scenery, clean room and new bathrooms

A unique experience in the mountains

The hotel is located in a very small and isolated village in the mountains of the Slovenia, allowing us a very different and interesting experience compared to other stays, including a small museum giving a glimpse into the life in the village early last century. Nonetheless, the drive to the village from the main roads is not particularly long or tiring. Stasha the owner greeted us warmly upon arrival and helped with every question. The room was quiet, cozy, and very comfortable. The breakfast that Stasha made for us was excellent, fresh, and local.

Gemütlicher Ort zur Entspannung in der Natur

Das Apartment liegt an einem abgelegenen Ort, nahe an die Natur und bietet perfekte Möglichkeit, sich vom Alltag zu erholen und Zeit in der Natur und beim Wandern zu verbringen. Aus Stein gebautes Haus und das Kaminfeuer sorgen für eine besondere Atmosphäre. Ich habe seit langem nicht so gut und tief geschlafen, wie dort - besser als zuhause! Dazu noch unsere Gastgeberin Sacha, die eine super freundliche Person ist und hatte immer gute Lösungen für unsere Sonderwünsche.

Für Menschen, die die etwas abgeschiedene Natur lieben ein absolutes -Muss.

Zuerst waren wir überrascht, dass wir so hoch in die Berge fahren sollten und wollten schon umkehren, weil wir dachten, wir hätten das Ziel nicht richtig eingegeben. Nachdem die enge Strasse zu Ende war haben wir jemanden gefragt, der uns zu der total versteckten Unterkunft ein paar Häuser weiter brachte. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, das Zimmer war einfach aber sehr schön, da es in unmittelbarer Umgebung weder ein Restaurant noch ein Ortszentrum gab, hat uns die äußerst nette Frau ein 3 Gänge Menü in kurzer Zeit hingezaubert, dazu einen schönen slovenischen Rotwein dazu gebracht und wir heben das Essen und die umgebende Natur fürstlich genossen. Für Menschen, die die etwas abgeschiedene Natur lieben ein absolutes -Muss.
