Gemütlich, gutte Betten, schön eingerichtet, viel Platz, eine tolle Loggia - selbst bei kühlerem Nieselwetter noch gut zum Frühstücken, 12 min. zu Fuss zum Festspielhaus - da kann man gut im Abendkleid hinlaufen. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Küche ist wertig eingerichtet und mit vielen nützlichen Utensilien versehen. Wirklich hervorragend war die Sauberkeit der Wohnung inklusive Kühlschrank - ein grosses Kompliment an die Putzfrau oder den Putzmann.

Eigentlich hat uns alles gefallen.

If you're coming for mainly the Festspiele this is the closest you can get with free parking in front of the house as well. It's a 10 minute walk to the Festspielhaus from Wagner. For the 'city' you best can take the car. The house itself is big and you have all the space to move around. The bed is ok and the bathroom is quite spacious. There is enough room in there to put away your toiletries. I would prefer this house over the old-fashioned hotels in Bayreuth. The owner is very fast in answering your questions and seems like a genuinely nice woman. On the last day we received extra tabs for the dishwasher to use and a bottle of rose as thanks. I would book this place again, but hopefully if some things are updated.

The furniture and things in the house are outdated. It seems like there is no interest in tourists from outside German speaking countries. There are books available to read, but only in German. There is a television, but quite old that it only has German channels and no Netflix or any other apps on it. When staying here for longer than a week, in this quite boring town of Bayreuth, you do want to entertain yourself a bit. So, there is a DVD-player available from the 90's with some DVD films from the same era. But, everything is only dubbed in German. So. No subtitles or original language to watch anything. There is a CD-player, but no CD's. There are a lot of LP's (vinyl records) in the closet, but no LP player. We did contact the owner about this and she told us that you can use a HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the TV. That may be so, but new laptops don't even have HDMI anymore as well, but Bluetooth. The living room was quite dull, with one standing light. We knew there wasn't airconditioning, but there also was no ventilator. When we got there it was quite hot. A small ventilator would be a perfect addition. As this is a BnB I also would have expected some other things to start with. For example there is a filter coffee machine, but all the coffee was taken/gone. There is a big bathroom with a shower, but you only get a 40ml shower gel, for 9 nights. No shampoo or a regular shower gel you normally can find everywhere else, for all the people who come to use. For the bed the pillows are quite old. They also look heavily used. We were looking for extra pillows as these were really no good to sleep on. We found some in the closet, but there were no extra pillow sheets available. You can get these only if you pay extra. For the amount we paid for 9 nights I do hope the extra service would be included as it's not that much extra costs.

We chose this option based on its location and it worked well for us. The apartment was beautiful and functional. The surrounding nice and a bio shop for groceries at walking distance.

1. The door was difficult to open. Stiff and with very little space for turning the key. The door needed to be pressed in to ease the unlocking. some oil? 2. we found a non-slipping carpet in a drawer- after almost falling in the shower. It would be good to put the carpet in a visible place ;-)
