About this villa rental
The property concern in an “Italian Masseria”** builth in the 17th restructured last year and over than 1500 square meters of garden, with a wonderful and private use pool of 40 square meters. Thanks to a wood porch in the front of the house is possible to have dinner in the open air. You can also roast your dinner using the external barbeque. The whole property is encircled with a stone wall over than 2,5 meters height that ensure complete privacy and security.
Inside the Masseria there is a big hall with a working stone and wood made fireplace and an interconnected kitchen place. A bedroom with ceiling “volta”, and a second wedding bedroom also with “volta” ceiling in original “leccese”*** stone. The wedding bedroom is supplied with a wonderful and ancient fireplace. The “Masseria” is completed by a big bathroom with shower.

The hosts were awesome. The property was nice, secluded, clean and had beautiful gardens with pepper and pomagranite trees. Beautiful pool. Good central location for visiting Lecce and the beaches.

The house is very nice and situated in a lovely garden. Everything is excellent apart from the internet connection. Moderate WiFi. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The area feels very secure and easy access from major roads. We very much enjoyed our stay!

This is a beautiful villa and the gardens and pool are well maintained with the pool being cleaned daily. The interior is rustic and original but the bathroom is modern and clean. There are two bedrooms and the beds are comfortable. I would suggest new pillows would be in order as the ones we had were pretty poor. There is plenty of crockery and pots and pans for cooking and the kitchen is fit for purpose. Although there is a gas hob, there is no oven but it was fine for our needs. There is WiFi but it is very temperamental dependent where in the villa you are.The villa is looked after by Salvatore and his wife Rosie who visit the villa daily from their villa next door to clean the pool and remove any waste. Although they can’t speak English and our Italian was non existent, we managed to understand each other by way of a smattering of French, Spanish, google translate and sign language. You can opt for Salvatore and Rosie to make you a meal, which costs 14.5 euros per adult, which we did. The meal which included wine was lovely. Salvatore recommended a restaurant called Amelie in nearby Maglie, which was superb.The villa is in a great location being only 20 minutes or so by car from Lecce and Otranto and 45 minutes from Leuca at the very tip of the heel where we went on a boat trip.Communication was very good from Alessio and the friendly engaging nature of Salvatore and Rosie was superb. Thanks for a great stay.
