Mansion - Corigliano d'otranto Stone villa with private pool and garden

The hosts were awesome. The property was nice, secluded, clean and had beautiful gardens with pepper and pomagranite trees. Beautiful pool. Good central location for visiting Lecce and the beaches.

The house is very nice and situated in a lovely garden. Everything is excellent apart from the internet connection. Moderate WiFi. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The area feels very secure and easy access from major roads. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Very nice place, Salvatore is very pleasant, we have missed his wife Rosy who was in recovering from a operation.

We have agonised about the star rating for this property as some aspects were definitely 5 stars while others fell well short. We feel with a little bit more investment this property could easily achieve 4 to 4.5 stars. We hope our review is honest and fair and helps to inform future guests and Alessio the owner. The outside area is magnificent- 5 stars. Beautiful garden, lovely swimming pool, although no shallow end. All extremely clean and well maintained. The property is situated in a quiet area within easy driving distance of a number of towns and attractions. Nearby in Corigliano is an award winning restaurant (ask Salvatore) which is well worth a visit. The bathroom is 5 stars. Modern, well decorated, clean and plenty of hot water. The bedrooms are probably 2 to 3 stars depending on how many are in the party. Beds were comfortable although pillows were not adequate. Lumpy and thin. Access to the bathroom was via the other bedroom. The kitchen was disappointing, 2 stars, although spacious and clean, did not provide the quality I would expect when renting holiday accomodation. The equipment was old and obviously very used. There was no kettle or oven and the wooden frying pan handle allowed the pan to rotate which could have lead to a nasty accident. We like to cook and so this may not be relevant to those who like to eat out a lot. The property claims to have a washing machine but it doesn't. However Salvatore and Rosy, the caretakers are a huge plus, 5 stars++ They keep the property extremely clean and are eager to comply with any request. They provided a delicious meal on arrival for norminal price and this was far more than we could eat. They do not speak English but we managed in German and French with a smattering of Italian!! Having said all this, we had a fabulous time and were reluctant to leave. We like rustic but like a little more luxury in kitchen equipment and pillows. Finally Alessio is very easy to contact, responding quickly to any requests for information. Not having to pay the final instalment until we arrived also helped to give us peace of mind.
